Hey.Aight, so Badlion is reaching the point where, there are so many players, its almost impossible to get to the "#1" spot on a certain ladder. Sure, if you play and practice everyday, you might get a #19 Kohi or #63 Global, but lets be honest, who really remembers players that aren't the top 3 or top 5? In order to give players an incentive to climb the ladders, I think Badlion should split the elos into different leagues, just like the League of Legends system. If you are familiar with League of Legends, you will know that there are 2 apex tiers, called challenger and master. And then there is Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze. These leagues are then divided into 5 divisions, except for the 2 apex tiers. So instead of trying to get a #50 spot on Global, people could try to get Master. I feel like this is a better way for players to try to climb the ladders.

We decided to move to the new league system for a few reasons. For starters, having a single ladder with all ranked players doesn't provide a lot of incentive for advancement. When you're ranked 290,000 and have 289,999 opponents left to pass on the way up, that process can seem meaningless and interminable. Tiers and divisions also provide milestones and manageable goals you can strive to achieve at your skill level. Through leagues we can move away from focusing on a single number as the core indicator of a player's skill, and instead move toward something more compelling: competition on a small ladder with a relatable number of opponents.
