The Appeals Section needs an overhaul
Dear Badlion's staff,

Even if the players are guilty, even if they had the worst day of their life, anything, they should remained banned. This is why people are complaining about too many hackers, as soon as they get banned, they can play two days later.

As stated here: Moderators are only required to keep evidence for 48 hours. If you wait a month to appeal they are not expected to have kept the evidence that long. You are basically telling players: ''Hey, make sure to appeal in two days for an easy unban, we won't have any evidence''. This needs more professionalism.

Also, in that same link again, it is clearly saying: A two line appeal is a good way to stay banned.Well, obviously that is not the case at all. On this thread, the user Citriq used about 30 words to get unbanned but the bot probably doesn't know that since all the bot does is it checks thread and if there is something along these lines: CheckIfGuilty= Yes, do = /unban, and im not even kidding.

If you guys still want to continue with this unban method, please atleast ask the banned user for a screenshot of their .minecraft > versions folder. Even if they can move out the hack on their desktop just to take the screenshot, it will atleast take more work than saying: Im sorry for hacking i was on a bad day badlion is my favorite server I don't now why i hacked i uninstalled my hacks please unban me this is my favorite server, thank you so much.

Also players who are saying they are not guilty because they were not hacking but theres a staff with solid evidence, that said player should have no more tries in appealing. Why give a second chance to someone who already lied?

People deserve second chances. That's a key thing that we believe at Badlion, and it's served us well in many cases. At minimum, a guilty player is banned for a month - you can't get banned and then be playing again two days later - at least not in the case of hacking bans where the player is confirmed to be guilty.

Your idea that once we stop keeping evidence we accept the appeal is completely false. If someone appeals not guilty to a cheating ban after 48 hours, the appeal is automatically denied.

It's true, the bot allows low-effort appeals to be accepted. That's why we have mods combing the reports section so seniors can correct the bot's mistakes. The bot also has functions in it to prevent copy-pasted appeals and other things.

Screenshots of a versions folder do absolutely nothing - why bother? It would be a waste of time for the player and for us.

And why would we give a second chance to someone who lied? Because we believe in second chances, and that people can change. Anyone who lies and appeals not guilty and later admits to being guilty has their ban doubled in length. It's also possible that evidence we thought was solid wasn't, and an admin can change a ruling.

Your suggestions show an ignorance of how the appeal system functions, and I would recommend that next time you do a little more research on how a system works before you call it unprofessional or mock multiple parts of it.
