hi, so basically as you can tell by the title, im really shit at uhc. really. if you check my build stats im 2100 and 1800/1900 in most ladders. But I suck so much at actual UHC. What I do when I join a game is - Start off by finding sugar cane. When slowness is removed I get it, and try to find oak trees to chop down. If I find any I make full stone tools, then try to get 3-8 apples, for healing. Then I try to get leather from cows or horses, which normally takes me fucking forever since the gamemode might as well be cowless. If I get leather I find a cave or mine down if i can't. If I dont find leather i just mine down and hope for the best. I then get full iron, iron sword iron pick buckets etc. Then I carry on caving if its a good cave, or if its not I staircase. (tried to stripmine once and got banned LOL) By this time its normally somewhere from 12-22 minutes in. But I have really shitty luck when it comes to diamond and gold. I normally only get enough gold for 2-4 gapples, and barely enough diamonds for enchants. If I get enchants I rarely ever get enough for diamond pieces. The best I've ever gotten was 2/4 diamond armour and a sharp 3 sword (which was the game i stripmined and got banned xd). I normally go up around 40 mins in, with full iron/1/4 dia enchanted or unenchanted, with a sharp 1 iron sword. I've tried snowballing but I got cleaned up after I killed someone with a sharp 2 dia and boots rip. If I go up around when I normally do, around 40-50 mins i always get killed by someone full diamond with a fucking sharp diamond sword who's on a horse. Last game I played I spawned next to a swamp, got sugar cane and 6 apples, but there was literally 0 cows on the whole map. I went down without leather around 13 mins in, came out 25 mins in with full iron unenchanted 0 diamonds 2 gaps, spent about 15 mins running to 0,0 then getting killed by a full diamond on a horse. I have really shitty luck when it comes to caving and UHC in general. Can someone give me tips on how to cave, get the materials for enchants quicker etc. Like I said im good at the pvp part but shit at the rest. I can never get a good cave for the life on me, and on the rare occasion that I do someone has already been there and there's nothing but some iron and redstone left. So yeah can someone give me some tips. k thanks

If you decide to cave a lot to get enchants you must make an an anvil and get full prot 2 and sharp 2/3
If you wanna snowball you have to go up at 15 minutes and only do that at good coords

I've never caved for more than 20 minutes in an FFA and I used to do decently well back in the days when people didn't run for ages and actually fought … ikr, it's a miracle

Well, seems like iron rushing is the solution for you. Try to get full iron and 2-3 gaps and make your way to 0,0, try to clean up or get someone with no healing and choose your fights wisely

Prot 2 doesn't help that much. If anything keep it prot 1 iron and go for sharp 2-3 iron/diamond sword.
