A Note on Solicitation
Rule #22 on Badlion: "You are not allowed to exchange virtual items or services for real life money or other items not on the Network. Examples: Selling clans/accounts for money, exchanging minecraft accounts for items from another game/server, such as CS:GO, etc."

I ban people for this all the time. Sadly, most people in-game in my opinion do not even dare to look at the rules, unless they are banned and are forced to make an account on the forums to appeal. The rule above is the exact definition of solicitation, and it is completely ILLEGAL.

Around my neighborhood, there are signs on the doors of my neighbors that say in capitals "NO SOLICITING!", meaning that they don't want to exchange items for money. If you think of it, Badlion is also labeled with one of the signs with the NO SOLICITING! sentence all in bold.

Overall, I hate people being banned for just a message saying "MSG ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BUYING GRAPHICS!" on the server. Tens of people are banned every day just for this crime, and I hope it can decrease by creating this thread. After all, nobody wants to be banned.

An easy solution is by not SPEAKING of it and instead DOING it! If you want an intro, buy one on the internet. If you want a Minecraft account, buy one on the official website! Actions, not words.

That is all, hopefully you find this useful.

Alright, also, would this be considered something minor if you reported it on the forums?

I think this thread is pretty useful. Usually when I see people in the chat going "MSG ME SELLING AN OLD MC ACCOUNT PREMIUM" or something along those lines, I tend to message them saying "that's solicitation, you could get banned" because I understand how easy it is for someone to say something like that, totally blinded of the rule due to ignorance, to get banned and not know what they did wrong.

Thanks for making this post

Sorry for the incorrect information above, the ban for violating this rule is 3 days normally and indeed not perma. This is quite a minor chat violation, but still report it anyway.

Apologies, however it still is incredibly important

"I'll give you x dollars on paypal if you donate me ranked matches."
Is this considered solicitation or not?

Just another note, Listen's statement was indeed false, I just wanted to have people know it actually is a PERMANENT ban as it was discussed in a staff forum.
