I did see Terror_PvP's thread, and I did see quite a bit of good points. I'm here to shine some more light on the subject. I will do a list of pros and cons. I have played on Kohi before, and I know what to expect. So here's my list of pros and cons:


Pros:
Kohi is introduced to UHC/SG/Rods/Bows (im sorry but i had to)
Badlion gets Vault Battles
Badlion gets Factions
Badlion gets a pot-based SG
Kohi gets to try 1.9 (even though all any of them play is 1.7) (again i had to)
Badlion gets a potion-oriented Kit PvP


All in all, these are pretty good additions. But then with every pros and cons list, there's a cons list. Thankfully, it's not that long.

Cons:
Chat spammed with shit like L and LOOOOOL and kys etc


If the chat wasn't shitty enough it's gonna be worse. More staff is good, but the LOOOOOOL spam can get out of hand. Also, things like "kys" are gonna be a lot more common. I really hope Kohi players even looked at the rules. Recently, I beat a guy in (remember this) Advanced UHC. Later, he messaged me "ur shit bowspammer" then he said "duel me" then I said "ok" then he dueled me in NDB. I deny the duel request. I'm sitting here like: "Alright man, I know I'm not lucky enough to get 30ms, so I prefer bow over sword." He messages me "i get 100ms LOOOOL" which means that no, he does not get 100ms. It's very likely this man is in PZ1. I said, "if you want to duel me in nodebuff, why'd you say you get 100ms when I get 80? I'd have the advantage.". He proceeded to message me "i bet you cant even use a sword LOL" to which I said "spec me." I got a 5 hit combo on a guy in Build with, whaddayaknow, a sword. He messaged me "ur still shit, one combo doesnt prove jack shit" to which I responded "I have a huge-ass ignore list. It's full of people spamming me with GIVE ME MATCHES and the worst toxins. You aren't spamming me with GIVE ME MATCHES, so where do you fall under? Admit it, you're toxic as fuck because you lost to someone with a bow in a bow ladder. I'm going to ignore you now. Good day.". And since I ignored him I didn't get any more shit from the salty young man. But it's probably clear that with his name (I'll keep it anonymous, but it did certainly have a Kohi feel to it.) he was a Kohi player. And the best Kohi players basically fapped to Stimpy in 2013/14, and then used his tactics. Later, almost everyone who didn't get 49ms or lower was basically eliminated from the competitive scene. I got 100+ms to both Kohi and Badlion for a time. I was worse off than the people in PZ2 who were trying to manage. So here I was, fighting Stimpy wannabe after Stimpy wannabe. Since then the potion scene has changed. I don't know who runs the show now, but Stimpy certainly still plays an extreme role. Badlion's community is fucked up already. Adding Kohi to the scene is gonna fuck it up the ass and around the corner. I suppose Badlion having more players, developers, and staff is good, but Kohi's community basically hates us because we know more than two gamemodes, where they know Soup and Potion and we know UHC, SG, Archer, Skywars, OCN ladders, and more. Added on to that, Badlion used to be a potion style server. And it's hung on to that. So add pot and soup to the mix I just created. I used to have friends that only liked pot, and when I handed them a bow they gave it back to me and said, "Nah, I can stick to the sword. Btw, can you make me sharp 2?" I have played Skywars with these people, and when I gave them a rod they threw it out. It came to the point where I'd be burning Power 5 bows that I had more than one of. So to compensate for their knowledge of Pot and Soup PvP only, they fuck with each other in chat. I'm not saying Kohi isn't good at Pot and Soup. Their players could fucking stomp me in pot any day. I'm getting better at it, but I know it's going to be a lost cause by S13. I know I'm gonna love s13. It's going to be so good, both servers pitching in to make the best season of Arena yet. But the most elo I'll ever have in potion is gonna be around 1500, because let's be real, Kohi potion tryhards are the equivalent to Badlion build tryhards. And with 80ms at the moment, I'm gonna have a hard time getting elo. Verillium did say that 80 ping should be easy elo, but I told him that he didn't know how I felt. I know he's better than me by far, but I fought him in diamond and he only beat me with 1.5 hearts (I believe. I'm probably dead wrong.). Of course, he's good at all of Badlion's gamemodes, but his ping is better than mine. He may be in the same ping zone as me, but I know it's better than mine. I can live with 80ms for the rest of this season, as I've been getting used to it. But as soon as the next season hits the ladders I'll have the most ELO in are likely going to be SG and Skywars. I like both ladders, and I like rodding as well. I'll still play build, but for the moment I'm gonna go around lavaspamming the shit out of everyone in preparation for the next season. Sorry fellas, but if you wanna have a chance in S13 you better get on the grind. I support the administration's decision to merge with about 75% of my own thoughts. Chat and potion ladders will be dominated by Kohi players soon, unless we can do something seriously effective. Staff from Kohi might even allow the chat to be spammed with L and whatnot. If you see this happening, though, please do contact them and say "L" is taken as bad sportsmanship. Badlion's staff are human and they make mistakes, but they have a lot of experience with this server and its rules.

Above this post you can observe four posts that may represent the fears of many Kohi players.

I'm not sure if you have even considered the impact of your post before you made it, but you should. All four of you managed to undermine and discredit the poster by responding with posts that either publicize your disinterest or directly undermine the message that poster is trying to send.

If this was your intention, find a better way of doing it that actually provides meaningful propositions or feedback.

Every reply except Germany's is completely irrelevant and shouldn't even be there. I don't usually put effort into my threads. But when I do I am met with these replies. Germany was actually thoughtful and put more than 15 words into it. I'm very tempted to never voice my opinion again in a formal way. As for CraftyGoesMoo, your post number sure went up quite a bit when I first saw your 43rd post in February. You've outdone xKniqht.

Despite others opinions, I read your post and I do understand a few of your worries even though a few parts were irrelevant. However, with your worry about the chat Badlion chat rules will still be enforced and Kohi staff members who come over will be enforcing them. As you know we now have scaling mutes, so repeat offenders who encourage suicide and start toxicity will be off the scene quickly from extended mutes. As for your issue with Low ping players getting an advantage I do think that happens on all servers however I do feel skill is more Valuable than low ping ! And as for the Kohi players hating us. I don't think this is entirely true. Obviously there are some but a lot of the Kohi players are thrilled with this merge and aren't toxic at all. The only thing that I would ask Kohi players is to go into this with a positive Mind. If they think 'this is a rubbish move I'm going to hate it' they will find ways to hate it. But if they go into it like 'this is a new start and it's going to be brilliant' they will grow to love it and the two communities will soon be considered one.

Nice to see you're taking an Interest though and expressing your opinion @lachlol

most of this was completely irrelevant, agree with the others. You tried to connect a fight with a salty kid, potential chat problems, and integrate a pros and cons list, but everything was so jumbled I honestly can't tell how they relate.

Just to let you know, there is no such thing as Ping Zones… Play with 50ms then play with 10ms and you will 110% money-back guaranteed feel a difference.

I sincerely apologize for not contributing to your thread – it was despicable of me to ignore your cautionary post entirely and voluntarily take part in derailing discussion. Much of what you describe is anecdotal; and while I understand where you're coming from, it's unwise to project a possible future based on a single, microhistorically driven account. If what you do say is happens to affect the server on a large scale, expect to see the staff compensate by enforcing the laxer rules and creating new ones in place.
