Hey all,Most of you won't know me, which is a prospect that I am somewhat excited about, but I am/was an active member of the Kohi community, and have been for almost 2 years now. Our form of the Badlion Forums was the Kohi Reddit, which most of you will know me by the username '/u/Kiptus' on there, if you even know me from Kohi at all. I've been playing HCF for 3 years pretty much, starting on Shotbow, so I believe that I have a pretty sound opinion on the merge and how it will effect HCF, and how it will effect both of our communities.
Just a disclaimer - This could be completely wrong and are just my opinions, and predictions as an active Kohi community member who claims to have somewhat of a grasp on how our community deals with things.
My opinion:
At first I was apprehensive about the merge. Why? Because I am human, and we don't like change. But after thinking over it - I formed the opinion that there are no actual negatives to the merge, other than those that are purely based around speculation, or are things that could be tweaked after the merge, but are just simply not negative enough to influence your opinion on the merge to be a negative one. Yesterday I sat in a lot of Teamspeaks and spoke to a lot of people, and none of them were able to provide a negative, anti-merger, argument that would stand up to my scrutiny. Why? Because there are none, and are all just fabrications that're simply meaningless at this point.
So overall, I am excited about the merger, and cannot wait for it to happen.
What you need to know about the Kohi community:
- First of all, a lot of our players cheat. This isn't me just being bad at the game, and looking for something to blame it on - it's a fact. You'll most likely see a lot of people get banned in the first couple of weeks, and more banned by Season13.
- Our community is insanely toxic, and I wish you the best of luck - honestly. You will be told to kill yourself, you will be called homophobic, and racial slurs. And you will 100% be told that your grandmother has no arms, nor legs, and of course, sleeps in a pillow case. I shit you not, this is a daily occurrence on Kohi, and I know for a fact, and sincerely hope, that it will not be accepted at all on Badlion. But I am warning you - if you are thin-skinned, then you should thicken up, because it's going to be a bumpy ride.
- The vast majority of the Kohi Community will most likely not like you by default. At first, a lot of Kohi will be extremely pissed off after we are forced to switch to Badlion, for reasons that just simply don't make sense to the average, sane person. This probably won't be as apparent on the Forums, as it will be in-game. This, once again, will change in time though.
- Our opinion, on the whole, is negative. Most people are anti-merger. Why? Because they enjoy circlejerking, and jumping on the bandwagons of YouTubers such as Stimpay, by spamming things such as '#FUCKBADLION' in the chat. This will most likely change though, as the merge is inevitable, and will not change just because a few kids kick up a fuss.
- We have a large population of players who believe they are tough, and we call them names such as 'E-Gangsters', 'E-Shooters', 'E-Autists', you get the idea. They're incredibly annoying, listen to shitty rap music constantly, and will repeatedly shout 'L' 'GANG GANG' 'SCHMOKED' etc. Just ignore them; you'll most likely see these kids around, and they're just desperate for attention since they clearly have some kind of mental disability that hinders them from acting like a normal human being.
- You'll learn to like us though, I promise. In all of our faults, the Kohi community is fantastic, and I've stuck by it for 2 years (Obviously with breaks). This merge is a good thing, and should be seen positively by everyone, and eventually everyone from the Kohi community will see the light, and those that refuse to, will switch to another server, and that honestly is no loss.
Summary:
The merge is a good thing, but that opinion is shared by a very small amount of the Kohi community as opposed to the vast majority of the Badlion community. Once the merge happens, Kohi players will bring their toxicity, but hopefully it will be ironed out immediately by Badlion, and will not be tolerated. You'll have a lot more people on the Forums, and you most likely won't understand a lot of their jokes, and references, and vice versa - so just remember, be tolerant, as we all have to get along with one another here if this is going to work.

We will definitely welcome Kohi players with open arms. Yeah, we know that there are a large group of Kohi players that are not happy with the change, but they will get used to it soon enough. Any toxicity won't last long with our chat rules.Welcome to Badlion!
