I just hit 2k on Build ^_^But it was a really hard journey… I faced lots of 1700s, 1800s, 1900s, and even 2K's back when I was 1900 ish. I had amazing fights and I loved playing against these guys. I even beat some 2K's!!! But the thing is, I also faced 1400s, 1500s, and 1600s. The ones who didn't lag were pretty easy to beat (no offense intended). But the laggers were harder to beat than the 2K's! This shows how OP delayed kb and lag is. I'm not a pvp mechanics genius, but I think that lag really affects gameplay. Usually, in an exchange of hits, each of you are knocked back. When you both deal kb to each other, you're knocked away from the other guy, and the other guy's knocked away from you, so you can't hit each other. However, laggers are knocked back a little later depending on how laggy they are. This means you are knocked away from them and can't hit them, but they sure can hit you.
I know that this problem will never be completely fixed. Some people have bad internet and will have bad ping no matter what server they connect to. Others live in the middle of nowhere and will also always have bad ping. That's not their problem, and I can sympathize with these people and won't dislike them for lagging. But the people (especially people with lower Elo than me) who purposefully join a server while knowing that they'll lag and take delayed kb really get on my nerves. I know Elo is just a number, but it's something I've worked pretty hard for, which makes me hate facing laggers in ranked.
