I didn't tell you to fix our shit in my post, I just emphasized how important it is to make the maps decent. @Jinxful as you said, s13 will make or break badlion, and the maps are going to play a role in that, one way or another.

With the new merge of kohi and badlion, the player base is going to increase. Now at the start of last season I remember badlion reached 8000 players. That being said, there was not much hype about that season yet the player base reached 8000. Now my prediction is that badlion will hit a new player record when season 13 is released.

Please please please make the start of the season work. Don't rush the release. Don't make it like the 5v5 tourney where the server ran into many problems. It was evidently rushed as they needed to make a post tournament thread on what went wrong!

The 5v5 Tournament should have had better supervision and proper pre-planning. To be quite honest I didn't find out how it was being organized until I was thrown into the fray of it. Looking at it there were quite a few issues I quickly identified as well as an issue or two with the rules that I am surprised got by Archybot. This being said we are working on a bunch of things to make sure our next tournament is run much smoother along with the overall network upgrades.

Learn from your mistakes and be prepared to get 10,000 players because honesty I think badlion will hit that on the release day. This is why I'm saying, put everything into perfection, don't rush into things, because the start of season 13 will be the decider whether these new kohi players will stay or not. And if it fucks up like the tourney did, you are gonna make a lot of people angry. So show that badlion, the competitive Pvp server can successfully handle high amount of players. At the start of season 13, nothing should go wrong, that should be your top priority. Obviously there are things you simply can't control but please do everything you can to make a successful start to the season.

I cri…only 63 players short of 10k last time :( Season 13 is not coming out for a couple of months still. Certain parts of our code base will be pulled into it that are already functioning 100% properly such as the kit system and the actual match handling. Other parts will have to be rebuilt such as the matchmaking system. We have a new system in place to try and minimize issues with matchmaking, but we will be heavily testing things before we release publicly. There will definitely be some form of beta as well.

My suggestion is to make a season 13 beta only for donators and above. This will mean you can test the season out with it being open to the public, and then unleash its full release after YOU are confident that everything is prepared and you know that the server can handle record players! Learn for your mistakes so you don't have to make a post season 13 thread where you evaluate all the things you did wrong, like the post 5v5 tourney thread.

Edit: A lot of cheaters from kohi will get banned as they think they can get away using their client. GloryBlade also got banned for cheating, and his impressionable 12 year old fanboys believe he is legit and that GCheat is inferior. He posted a tweet effectively mocking badlion attempting to cripple its reputation. More well known kohi players are going to get banned by GCheat. I repeat these egotistical pre pubesant teenagers, who are against the merge are going to give badlion a bad name just like stimpay did. I'm just waiting for a well known kohi player to get banned and start shit talking badlion . And for that matter, bad idea unbanning him because he's probably gonna make another video of him getting banned, and again his brain dead fans are gonna hop on the band wagon bashing GCheat. This is why badlion is going to have a tough future. It's like letting prisoners out and seeing what happens. This mob mentality of bashing GCheat is going to continue. The banbed players are too self righteous to admit they're cheating , and are gonna go on MineHQ and continue cheating. This is a very pessimistic view of the future but I'm sure Archy will agree this is going to happen ( in strictly talking about the edit post I made) and badlion is going to receive hate from this.
