Showing Mutes in Chat

Can it be changed so when a player is muted it doesn't tell everyone on the server? Sure if someone gets muted the player who is actually muted should be made aware but the whole server doesn't need to know about it, especially with the Kohi merge and the amount of mutes being handed out recently.If not, can the actual message itself be changed to it doesn't take up like 5 lines in chat?

I think the mute system is there to show players mods actually do something, instead of hiding it. As far as I know, the size of the muting message has been decreased (at least in UHC), so there's really no need to shorten it any further: the ============================ lines have been removed.Last edited on 06 May 2016 - 07:46 AM by xiferance

As far as I can remember, that's the reasoning that was given about it by higher staff. This prevents complaints from players about staff "not doing anything", the server is as transparent as needed.
