Hey everyone, I just wanted to ask for your feedback on something that has confused me since I joined the badlion community. That being how mutes are given for hackusations here.A hackusation should be when you are accusing someone of hacks considering the word means accusing someone of hacks.
Badlion rules say that even asking for a mod to spec is a hackusation which I think is kinda the wrong thing to do because that's not what a hackusation is. A player could say "MOD SPEC" and be muted for a hackusation. What if the player is camping? What if the player is doing something else? It makes no sense to mute a user for saying mod spec x player for hackusation because they may not even be hackusating. I've been muted several times for this and I don't think it makes sense, so I'm writing this thread. No other network I've been on has muted for hackusations when it's technically not a hackusation. I was wondering why that is (whether it be from a staff members perspective or just a random users perspective). Sometimes the players who ask a mod to spec are trying to HELP the network by either getting rid of cheaters or campers, I don't think that's something that they should be scrutinized for. Doesn't seem right to me.
Thanks for the read,
Sam

Yes I agree completely. The term(s) "MOD SPEC" is too broad to be classified as hackusation and shouldn't be mutable.Last edited on 09 May 2016 - 03:05 PM by Saimo
Player 1: MOD SPECHacker: Oh shit, he asked a mod to spec! Better turn my hacks off and then leave just in case
Just use /report or msg mods, saying stuff like that in public chat only makes it harder for us.

What if it isn't a hacker? I'm pretty sure most occasions where people say 'mods spec' is camping because a hacker won't give you a chance to even type most of the time
Still means that the person is hackusating.. any form of chat saying or indicating that the person is hacking or they want somebody to spec because they're suspecting hacks is considered hackusation.

Do you know how hard it is to /report when a hacker is literally on your ass hitting you from 5 blocks away half the time? Or any type of scenario fight a hacker. Half the time you can't report or msg a mod mid fight, so you go to the quickest option possible, screaming mods in chat, cause anyone can type that fast enough.Posted on 09 May 2016 - 03:19 PM
@hurdling If it isn't a hacker just say "MOD SPEC CAMPER" and you won't get muted.@ZerenityMC You can use /w Saimo as well. Also, I really don't see the point, you only get the hacker to notice that he's being watched and we mods can't deal with him. Ah, if we ban during a ranked match and the guy wasn't guilty we can easily get demoted, plus it's kinda hard to get enough evidence based on just one match.

lol I said "mods you should ban (some guy) before he ruins more games" in Uhc SPECTATOR chat and got muted for it?? Like um it's spectator chat lol, it's not like the guy could even see it. it's not like I was even directly hackusating either lol its so annoying.Posted on 09 May 2016 - 04:43 PM

I 100% agree with this, that is the exact reason it should be considered hackusation.

This, added to the fact that hackers want to ruin staff's lives as well as yours.

Honestly I'd rather have him stop hacking then -30 elo when I'm like 2600….. You know how hard it is to get that back lol

I obviously get your point but most mods don't ban in ranked matches because of the conseguences if they false ban. I'm pretty confident after months of modding but sometimes it's hard to get enough evidence based on one match
