I'm a 2k Build player, and I think I can get higher, but I want to stop for now so that I can focus on bringing my Elos in other ladders up (plus I don't want to get drained by some 1.4k lagger). I used to be a soup PvPer back in the day, and I also used to play a lot of Kohi and Badlion until I started playing CS:GO for a while and the UHC gamemode took over the Badlion community. But I've never really been good at PotPvP (never got above 1050 Elo on NoDebuff on Kohi). I w-tap, I have decent aim, and I have 6-7 cps. Do you guys know how I can get better?Posted on 10 May 2016 - 06:50 PM
practice pot conservingplay agressive its a very good idea

It would be better to see a video so that it would be better to see what you're doing wrong , but one thing I would say is definitely aim for 10+ cpsPosted on 10 May 2016 - 06:55 PM
I don't know if I'm physically capable of reaching 10+ cps while having good aim. Can you guys show me how to hold a mouse to get 10+ cps while being able to aim? Maybe my mouse is the problem… it's a Dell mouse that probably costed $10.Posted on 10 May 2016 - 07:01 PM

Try different ways to hold your mouse (ik this isn't what you are looking for, but it all comes down to preference) and lowering your sensitivity (helped me a ton when I started to learn jitterclicking)

1. The most important thing is to learn to aim well. (lower sens may help) Unless your aim is on the player 99% of the time you will not get there.2. Click speed is quite important in numerous situations. Try to get it up or learn to jitter click. (lower sens may help)
3. You need to pot at 4 hearts each time. Another important thing is to manage your time. Don't let others to aggro you. Refill/Respeed/Eat at appropriate times. A thing that really helps is to pot faster. If you take 10 minutes to pot then your enemy will be all over you.
4. One of the most important things is to W-Tap and to Blockhit. Those actions if timed correctly give your opponent extra knockback which lets you combo them easier.

Can't vibrate my fingers like that, but I guess I'll have to learn if I want to improve in PotPvP :PLast edited on 10 May 2016 - 10:39 PM by Benchmarks
Here is how I jitter click and aim. I was 1600 elo on kohi last season (600 elo above default) I use lower sensitivity.

So first, you wanna put your left hand fingers on the WASD keys, and then use your right hand to grab the mouse. Go into a duel. Pot up, and then run at them. Move your mouse. Click. Repeat.Posted on 10 May 2016 - 10:23 PM

Click once, two times, three, or what? Or can I like throw my mouse at a wall and slam my head into it instead of clicking with my finger?Posted on 11 May 2016 - 07:44 AM

You know what else is a game (or very similar to one, if that's how you want to perceive it)? Sports. They'll only really affect your life if you're really good and get in the pro scene or you make it to a state/national competition (maybe local in some cases, I guess). But there's a reason people put in countless hours of work to get good at certain sport(s). They want to get recognition. They want to be the best of the best and be awarded for that. They want to take a big fat trophy home so that people know that they're great at something. And not only do they want others to know they're good, they themselves want to know that they're good at something. And finally (although, this doesn't really apply to Minecraft), they want to get in shape. There's probably other reasons, but these are the ones I can list off of the top of my head.
I'll probably never make it to the pro scene of Minecraft (actually, there is no big pro scene in Minecraft right now that gives a huge cash award; the pvp community isn't big enough), but I still want to be recognized, just like athletes. I want to have something that Minecraft players can see (good Elo) so that they'll know that I'm good at it. And I myself want to know that I accomplished something great that not a lot of other people have accomplished.

Just practice aim and conserving your potions, I see way too many people double splashing while they don“t need to.
