Map Routes 04: Turbulence

Hello! I'm back with another chest route thread. This week we're doing Turbulence. This is such an interesting map and it's my favorite so far in the way of building. I don't know who built it (I'm a noob at map teams) but whoever did, if you see them, please show them some serious love. They did such a great job on it. Let's get riiiiight into the news!Let's first cover the fact that there are FOUR double tier2s. At least two of them are on one side of the map.
First route: North. North seems to be the one way you can go on every map and get super stacked. It's been North every time I've made one of these, and it'll probably continue. North seems to be a popular direction in SG. The first actual route is the helicopter route; you'd go to the helicopter, and you would do the parkour. As soon as you get up, there's a double tier1 right beside a crafting table. Keep note of the table, because you're gonna need it at some point since there are so many tier1s everywhere on this map. That table isn't as popular as the one at spawn too, so you can go here if the team of 3 that's there every game is camping spawn. Get on top of the helicopter by doing some more parkour, this harder than the first, and I would advise against doing this if there's a player, even with nothing but a golden axe below you. You will get one-tapped if you fall off of this, regardless of your armor. Maybe someone without a weapon might not kill you, but you'll be at 1 heart or less after the fall. Plus, there is a hill here, and it's not the most convenient thing in the world to be on 3/20 and take fall damage and die on the hill. But if you are able to do the parkour the first double tier2 is on top. Snatch that quickly, and if there's a gapple, get down ASAP. Gapples are important on here, as it's very easy to get chased down by a team if you go in the wrong direction. After this, keep going north. There's a cave, and inside there is a tier2. This is also a crucial place to pull a ninja move on a team and bowspam them back down if you do it right. Next, go on top of the tunnel. There's a tier2 here, as well as another good choke-pointing spot. You can snatch a gapple if you're lucky and melee the team/player after bowspamming them down a bit. Next, go to the helicopter that has a ton of fire around it. Go past it and there will be a small hole in the wall. There's a tier2 hidden here. After that, you should go back to the meteor and go inside. Under the dragon egg inside the meteor is a tier2. Grab this, then go to the boat that's about another 100 blocks to the west. There's a tier1 in the ceiling. Grab this if you want, then go down the ladders. At the end of the room there's a tier2. After this you can go to the black plane and grab a tier2 on the top of the rudder. It's hidden behind a block, so you can go for it since it's not as known. To end the route go to the parking garage that's been hit by a meteor (of all things) and parkour on top of it. After you get off the meteor jump onto the stone slabs that make a bridge upward. You should be on the edge of the building next to the cobblestone walls. Get to the corner, and parkour onto the cobblestone. Circle-jump to the stone slab, then get up on top of that ledge. Get on top of the slab behind you and run along the cobblestone walls. Jump over the gap between the walls and there you go, another double tier2. If you saw, there appears to be another way up which requires a lot less parkour. This way is really just a troll, it wastes your time. Don't do it. There's a tier1 at the top of it but that's about it. Jump to the building adjacent and get on top. There's a double tier1 on top of the building. Jump down from that on top of the roof of the entryway. There's a tier2 right there. Jump into the fountain afterwards and there you go, 11 tier2s just for you. Of course, this route is very long, but it'll stack you. It's never a guarantee that you'll get every one of them though. I'd suggest doing this route backwards, by going out the west side and starting with the parking garage.
Second route: South. South isn't the most popular of routes, but it's okay if you spawn there. Plus, its non-popularity can get you quite a few tier2s. Go to the southwest opening, and after that go to the opening with the cobwebs on top. Don't even try sprinting, jumping will get you stuck and slow you down. Go over to the obsidian that's on fire. There's a stone button on stone, so it may require a few clicks before you get it. To get to it, you'll need to look down and to the left. That button will open up a ladder, and down there you will find a double tier2. That's the third of the four. After this the route splits in two. You will then go to the little airport area right next to the planes and go to the iron door. Inside is a tier2. Go back to the broken plane with the blue carpet inside and go to the place where it breaks. Do some more parkour by circle-jumping onto a slab, then jump again to a ladder. Climb up and get on top and there's another tier2. The other side of the split starts after the double tier2 and the runway right by it. Here's that route. Go back to the yellow plane and right where the steps are at the very back is a tier2. It's right under the slab/stair thing. After this you want to go into the small white building and craft whatever you want. This can be a trap, however, because people can sneak just inside and they can kill you when you go and craft. After this, go back and go to the runway that ends by the ocean. There's a tier2 right there at the end, and you can grab that. Go along the beach, get the tier1 and if you keep going there's another tier2 on the same beach. Keep going down the same beach and there will be a tier1. After grabbing this, go back down into the water and there will be an area that is very well-lit. It's pretty easy to see once you get there, and when you do, go in. Do some parkour on skeleton skulls (weirdest parkour on the entire map imo) and then there will be a room with lava. The pressure plate is a trick; you can keep holding shift and it won't trigger the blocks after you get off of it. You will need to be on the very edge of the block to do so. After this, there's an enchantment table, so if by some wizardry you manage to get a level, you can enchant the diamond sword you probably already have. There's a tier2 right next to it, as well as a furnace with a stick and mushroom soup. This would be the place to grab a level; keep all raw food with you if you plan to go here. Keep wooden tools. Crash a few boats. Smelt EVERYTHING POSSIBLE. To the right of this there is a crafting table, so if you have those two diamonds but no stick you can grab the stick from the furnace and craft here. This is my favorite part of any map ever, because it was so well done and such strategy based on what you want to do inside. After this, you can climb the stairs on the skulls and go to the plane. This is the final double tier2 on the map. It'll have probably already been looted, since it's so close to spawn and so popular. However, it's worth a shot. Go up to the top of the rudder and open it. It is definitely the chest you want to go for off of spawn if you're taking this route. Going southeast or southwest from spawn will reward you greatly, although not many know about the secret skeleton skull room, and it's the place to go for an enchantment. It's the only enchant table on the entire map, and I think it's great that the one enchant table is hidden so well.
Third Route: Southwest. This is essentially the same as before, except after you grab the double tier2 you can also go to the right. This will give you a lot of items that aren't super necessary, but there is a crafting table (well, three, but they're all next to each other so doesn't matter xddd) in the barn. Go up the hill and go into the barn. This is the least-known crafting table on the map. Go here if there are teams camping all the others (which is extremely unlikely, there are three crafting tables plus the one that's in the secret skull room). Get on top of the barn by jumping on the logs and there's another tier2. Then, go past the wheat farm and into the large fern farm. Go past that too, and go to the UFO. There's a tier2 right by the chamber that they appear to be abducting something in. After this, go to the town. There's a tier2 on top of the first building on the right. Climb the vines on the house next to it, get onto the spruce tree, and climb up. In said house next to it on the third floor there is a double tier1. Not exactly the most notable, but this map has a lot of double tier1s and tier2s. Across the street there is another house. Climb up the vines on the left side and get on top. Go behind the chimney and grab the tier2. Finally, you go and nab the crashed UFO tier2. That's across the river behind the house with the chimney and the tier2. Put out the fire on the netherrack and it's a lot more visible.
That is going to finish up this week's route thread! Thanks for reading!

I actually really appreciate these. Don't need them nor use them, but I appreciate that someone spends time doing this to help people trying to succeed.Last edited on 11 May 2016 - 09:53 PM by SolrRaze
