I sort of rod, but sometimes I wonder how others can do so well rodding.When you guys rod, how do you do it? Do you jitter it, do the infinite durability thing, etc.
Also say what position your rod is in compared to sword.

Rod someone right before hitting them for a "rodtrick," which deals 2x more damage for your next melee hit or something like that. Works with arrows, snowballs, eggs, I think. Rodtrick when people are gappling for maximum effect.Posted on 11 May 2016 - 11:09 PM
No such thing as an infinite rod anymore. You use it when someone is gapping, rod them then hit right away for a crit. Also have the last rod going in causing them to take knockback and you going forward creating a comboPosted on 12 May 2016 - 12:40 AM

1) Work on your accuracy2) If you wanna re-rod, double click quickly. It will roll it in and then release it again.

I use it before I engage. I don't use it in the middle of a fight.I have my rod in my 3rd slot and press TAB to hotkey to it.

I'm pretty shit at rodding but I guess you can just practice your aim. It's mostly prediction as to how people can rod good. Most people have the same strafe pattern and don't bother switching it up which is what makes them easily targeted for rodding. Also my inv set up is like1 - Sword
2 - Bow
3 - Lava
4 - Rod
5 - Head
6 - Water bucket
7, 8, and 9 are the default I don't bother switching them.
