I'm stuck at 20-30 fps.I have a 2010 macbook air(I think).
I have optifine.
I have plenty of RAM dedicated.
I have tried 8x8 packs.
My computer has enough storage.
I have cleared my desktop.
I have set my settings to the lowest possible.
I went from 150 yesterday to 20-30 today.
I have lowered resolution.
I can run Streams & YT just fine.
2 Render Distance.
NOTHING HELPS, NOT 1 FPS.
HELP MEEEEEE

Hey,Have you heard of JVM arguments? I use them, and they seem to help with my FPS, and the overall "smoothness" of my game. I am not sure if this is what you mean by "I have plenty of RAM dedicated," and if it is, sorry for wasting your time. Here are the arguments that I use:
-Xmx3G -Xms3G -Xmn768m -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:+UseNUMA -XX:+CMSParallelRemarkEnabled -XX:MaxTenuringThreshold=15 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=30 -XX:GCPauseIntervalMillis=150 -XX:+UseAdaptiveGCBoundary -XX:-UseGCOverheadLimit -XX:+UseBiasedLocking -XX:SurvivorRatio=8 -XX:TargetSurvivorRatio=90 -XX:MaxTenuringThreshold=15 -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true -Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true -XX:+UseFastAccessorMethods -XX:+UseCompressedOops -XX:+OptimizeStringConcat -XX:+AggressiveOpts -XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=2048m -XX:+UseCodeCacheFlushing -XX:SoftRefLRUPolicyMSPerMB=10000 -d64 -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true
However, I feel the most important ones for FPS are:
-d64 -Xmx3G -Xms3G -Xmn768m
This is based on personal experience, I am by no means a coder, and I do not understand what most of my arguments do. The four arguments stated above seem to improve FPS, and the others that I use seem to make my game "smoother" in general.
To find where you copy/paste your arguments, follow these steps:
1. Open your Minecraft launcher.
2. On the bottom left of the window that opens, hit "Edit Profile"
3. Near the bottom, you should see a checkbox that says "JVM Arguments", check that box.
4. Choose which arguments you want to use, and copy/paste them into the textbox.
5. Save your profile.
As a sidenote, I found that playing in smallscreen does help with my FPS, and again, I'm not sure if this is what you mean by "I have lowered resolution."
If all of these steps do not help (or if you have already done them), I would think about what happened to your computer between yesterday and today. I find that FPS does not drop for no reason, and if you cannot find the reason that your FPS randomly dropped, it might be time for a new PC.
Hope this helps.

Thx, I will try it out, and lower resolution is like the settings on a yt video. I play on 480 instead of 1080 or 720
