Strafing and w-tapping are all you need to beat guys like that. If they're laggy, blockhitting is also beneficial.
But yeah, it's the worst feeling ever to drop to 0 frames for like 15 seconds when in a ranked match and you know that the other guy isn't going to be honorable and wait for you to unfreeze.
