We go by the rule of "your account is your responsibility" here at Badlion. However harsh this seems, we ban accounts who break rules rather than individual addresses. In other words, if the account is banned for manipulation, it will be treated as a valid ban - because it is.Your statement seems to contradict also.
By "hacked", what do you mean?
You then say "the guy I trusted".
If you allowed someone to go on your account, then you are fully liable and we can tell from a mile away which it is and you'll not receive any support from the staff. If you were hacked, and have some means of proving it, we may be able to help in the case of the account being banned in some circumstances.
To keep your account secure is an important lesson here, to avoid ever being in this potential situation again. I've always insisted on passwords over - say 10 characters - that I only know, and regularly changing it to ensure there isn't enough time for anyone to scrape it. I've never run into any issues of people gaining access to my accounts.

Let me explain. I brought this account on twitter around 3 months ago. Me and the guy are not cool anymore and have fallen out. He's now trying to take back the account.

Yeah, that's not really anyone's issue in Badlion's eyes except your own since it's against Minecraft's EULA to do that. The security of your account is your issue and we can't possibly be here to protect people who buy accounts illegitimately and then fail to do so themselves, tough as it is.
