Do you get worse FPS with using mods such as StatusHUD etc? i personally do so you might be wrong about it not having bad fps.

no, I've checked, and the code doesn't contain ANYTHINT that should be slowing the client down

You plan on adding a togglesprint/sneak feature? Would be nice, especially if it weren't laggy. I go from 70 to 50 FPS with ToggleSprint mod

yes, that's next on the feature list. I decompiled togglesneak to see how it worked, I'll begin implementing once I use reflection to get access to ingame fps in 1.7

That happens to me with any forge mod like open eye, uhc essentials, direction HUD, status/armour HUD. I'm forced to use the bettersprint mod because of it.

I haven't detected any performance issues or memory leaks yet, but I'll keep looking

It's nothing with your mod, it's just an issue with those mods in general or maybe forge
