Famous people like Danteh do it all the time. but normal people aren't allowed to say it. that is unfair and they shouldn't get special treatment

Considering their high profile and the potential backlash from false mutes on ordinary staff, the process for muting famous players is different than it is for ordinary players.

While a lot of people will deem this unfair, it's damn true and you all know it.

I thought it was unfair at first too, but then I thought about it more.

This isn't done to be at all preferential to the famous player - it's done to protect the mods.

If I muted someone like Danteh for saying "ez" and he was pissed off, he could make a tweet or youtube video or whatever and in a day I'd have hundreds of his fans harassing me on twitter. And on top of that, what if the mute was false? Then the network can't stand behind me either.

However, if our special ranks admin does it, he has the backing of the entire staff team and administration, and any hate towards him is negligible and easily countered.

Exactly, but there are going to be some dumbasses who are like "OMG SUCH PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT TO FAMOUS PLAYERS"
