So this is just an idea I had a while back that I think might fix some of the issues that are inherent within our current queueing system. The concept is this: instead of queueing for any specific ladder, as you do now, you would 'set up' your queue before 'enabling' it, if you will. What I mean by that is you go in some setting and you turn on some certain ladders but turn off others. Then when you join the queue, you get matched up in any of those ladders that somebody else is also queued for - maybe randomly, maybe by how full each queue is, maybe decided by code based on the least inflated ladder. You could setup your queue to only join one ladder, you could set it up to join all the ladders, or anything in between. This would give each player a little bit of security in knowing they don't accidentally join a ladder they don't want to, but moreover, this fixes some of the blatant problems in our current queue system - it becomes harder to snipe people, it could very well reinflate dead ladders, and it should become harder to elo manipulate, too.
