Rename elo manipulation
instead of boosting and dropping elo having the same punishment classification, why not make it more specific so if you drop your elo people don't think you're boosting and vice versa?
> Elo boosting
> Elo dropping

^ those should be the 2 punishments, self explanatory

(also classify it as elo boosting if someone is purposely dropping to a single player in order for the other player to get high elo)

Elo Boosting = raising with another account
purposely lowering elo = lowering elo on purpose
Elo manipulation = lowering elo to drain high elo
or
Elo manipulation = loose turn for all above.
It's fine as it it

I believe the term is left intentionally vague. When I was a staff member, the punishment was not initially known as "Elo Manipulation," as there was no established standards of punishment titles as there are now. Like your suggestions, there used to be bans for "Elo boosting" and "Elo manipulation."

However, the two terms go hand and hand, with the exception that manipulation covers a much broader horizon of what the person punished could be doing.

There were several controversial cases where the accused player was not "Elo Boosting" by the definition of the term, but still manipulating the system illegally. That is why the term "Elo Manipulation" was coined, to cover the more complicated cases that "Elo Boosting" and "Elo dropping" could not.
