I think it'd be cool to have a UHC gamemode where you can only be in nether. Nether fights are generally pretty fun and I think it'd be an interesting gamemode. For example, you'd have to be in the nether by 30 minutes or you will get a wither effect in the overworld which will kill you pretty fast. There would obviously have to be a few adjustments like the size of the nether, border shrinking in nether, but otherwise i think it'd be pretty fun.Posted on 14 June 2016 - 02:20 AM

I like the idea. But there will be a lot of problems.-Healing is hard to get this way.
-The only way to get Diamond armor is to kill people or mine it the first 30 minutes.
-The fire is going to be annoying.
This gamemode should drop a Head and a Diamond if you kill someone. The damage of the fire should be decreased.
I like the idea, but i'm not sure if its going to work out for uhc.

Cool concept, but as dolr said it needs development. Would be nice paired with goldless/timebomb for healing. It would involve strategy such as trying to get pots and enchants w/o dying but the nether would need to be much biggerPosted on 14 June 2016 - 03:43 PM

-Host it with Goldless Diamondless and Timebomb
-Make the nether like 2k by 2k (4k in total)
-Make pots disabled (too overpowered if everyone is full iron)
-make pvp 10 minutes in for people can make portal 20 minutes in

-Players must be in the nether before 30m or they will get the wither effect.-Diamondless Goldless, No Str., and Timebomb are in place.
-Players get 2 minutes of fire res after a kill so if their opponent fell in lava they are able to access the chest and avoid being cleaned into lava.
-Bigger nether (3k world size which would mean a 1.5k,1.5k border)
-Multiple fortresses at garunteed locations throughout the nether so players will be able to snowball at fortresses.
-Border shrink starts at 1:05 and shrinks by 500 blocks until 100x100 (Shorter game than usual uhc)
-No lava lakes at 00 or 100x100/ a 100x100 platform so that players won't die to fire when being spawned in and they can have a decent final fight.
That's it for my ideas this would be a pretty cool gamemode I think but only for stateless unless the idea is improved upon.

how about you make the nether just like the overworld in terms of minerals trees. you start in the nether with fire res until pvp comes on. same rules apply because everything in the nether is the same, the border will be larger which means more fortresses and more opportunities for people to get potions.Posted on 14 June 2016 - 06:31 PM
