Hosts host want they want to, it's them that's putting in 2 hours of their time to provide a game for you in the first place. Giving them the courtesy of allowing them to host the gamemodes that they want should be standard. Also, there are people that like to play these gamemodes, that's why they were made in the first place. Rodless + Diamondless seems like a perfect snowball to me, with bow being the primary weapon.
