For your info, it's not that he expects a different result, just that he doesn't really care and doesn't feel that he is good enough compared to the rest of Badlion.
After all, it's just a game. People give up at different points in their time and start cheating again, some more frequent than others. I cheat every day on other servers and if I played Badlion more regularly there's no doubt I would cheat again. It's really easy to give up and download some cheats so you can beat other players without having to try so hard over a game.

Myself, I get frustrated when I get beaten by a 1600 while trying my best and the other guy doesn't break a sweat. It's like having a choice between trying as hard as you can and getting a little bit better each time and knowing you'll never be as good as most 1700/1800s, or being able to beat 1700/1800s without breaking a sweat and feeling good about it. Obviously people cheat.

Edit: I am a chronic cheater. I am probably better than most of the Minecraft community, but in PvP based servers, I suck. Unban me from any server that I've cheated on before, and I'll cheat on it again, because psychologically you've crossed the line of whether to cheat or not on that account. To "stop" cheating, players should play a different server and play legit again, then they are back in the mindset of "cheating is wrong, I'm gonna stick to being legit". Evidentally many of them just keep hacking on every server and getting banned until returning to Badlion again, and getting themselves banned again.
