When season 13 is implemented, I think it would be a great idea to have (if possible) leaderboards for each region (NA, EU, AU) as it would allow for more competition especially in AU. It is exceedingly hard to obtain a higher elo in AU because of the fact that the elo pool is so much smaller. Having a separate leaderboard would increase the competitiveness, and give AU players a spot they deserve on their regional leaderboard.

We will have exactly this in season 13. Per-region and worldwide ratings.
