I already asked this in the "RULES HAVE BEEN UPDATED" post by Archybot, but noone specifically answered my questions, so I'll copy and paste my post in here hoping someone will.. enlighten me.


I have a few inquiries that I'd like someone [knowledgeable] to answer,
Some accounts I have access to I'm permanently borrowing from people who don't really play Badlion at all. For reasons having to do with not being recognized and relieving stress on the elo front, I like playing on my friends' accounts. I assume this whole thing is allowed, but what if he joins and plays like 3 matches, would it get insta autobanned? My friend can't get on to his account, so I'm letting him use one of mine, am I just… not supposed to use that account now?

Maybe I am wrong on a bunch of these, it's possible you just want us to keep to one account each, and I shouldn't even be using multiple, but I still don't really understand the philosophy behind "account sharing". At first glance that just means… sharing accounts, but why? It's not so I can't smurf, because if all the accounts I'm using are my own, I'm not account sharing (that's just multiple accounts on 1 ip, not multiple ips on 1 account). If it's so we can't get high on the leaderboards by doing each others' best kits, I'd like to say that what I'm doing isn't that. I just like to play on my friends' account casually, not to break any other rules.

So to recap, I'll state my questions again:
-If I'm using someone else's account on BL, but they NEVER log in, that must be permitted, correct?
-Is it permissible to play on a bunch of my own accounts still? (as oppose to 1 account per person)
-Let's say I log into the wrong account accidentally and get on Badlion, is that an insta ban? Where do you draw the line between account sharing and just using an account fairly?

Part of the reasoning they give behind backing up their account sharing rule is that it is against Mojang's terms of service. This would obviously break it, but Badlion has no physical authority outside of it's servers so it probably won't matter.

archybot was referring to people who complain about getting banned for no reason
that happens when you've shared your account and the guy you've shared it with gets blanket banned

actually that's what i came up reading the thread that was liked earlier, but yes the rules now dont want you to account share, so if two people have used the same acc = ban

Badlion can't know that someone else has access to my account into MINECRAFT, just that they've logged in to Badlions' servers. What if it's just into the lobby? What if it's just to play for 15 seconds? What if he doesn't do any ranked matches? I don't see why BL would care about ANY of those 3 scenarios.

I'm pretty sure you won't be insta-banned, I think the staff check the IP logs of an account if they suspect it's being shared. Also it doesn't matter if you only log on to the hub.
