There should be a way for players who are not builders to submit maps for arena pvp and maybe sg. If this were to be added I think there should be a forum section in community for map submissions where players link the download, provide pictures and fill out an application. A thread would look something like this:

IGN: xxPlayerxx
Name of Map: My map
Purpose of the map (Arena/SG?): Arena
If for Arena PVP, what ladders would this map be used for? Build UHC and Iron BuildUHC
Pictures (Show the entire map): [Pictures go here]
Why do you think the map should be used? It should be used because there is a lot flat ground for melee and it is well built. It is a very fps friendly map so players can play without worrying about lagging. It is decent sized so players can run when low but not to the extent where they can kite for over a minute.

I'd like a system for this as well. Currently you could still simply message me on the website with screenshots of your map.

What about the 10% of the maps that are really good, you can't turn down the good builders just because the majority of ppl can't do the same. :p I'm glad to see that this is getting positive feedback though ^_^

I think that there are most definitely hidden talents in the community that should be revealed but on the other hand people would submit a ton of maps which really aren't up to the servers standards either gameplay or aesthetic wise and therefore would get disappointed and even waste maybe the staff's time? I mean I still am a Trial Member in the BuildTeam so I really shouldn't be saying that "why don't you apply for BuildTeam then"…

There are plenty of players like me who would not meet certain requirements for the build team. I don't have teamspeak, Skype or even a mic. If I tried downloading ts or skype it would lag my laptop very bad (I use an 08 MacBook and it can't run anything alongside mc without a ton of fps lag.)People like me should still have a shot at making a map for arena. As far as the maps that don't meet the standards, I think it would be worth the time to deny all of those to run into the really good maps that qualify for usage.

Adding on to my original idea, if a map is suggested and accepted then it should be put into use for the next season. Maybe there could be a set window for when the build team is accepting maps.

I do hope that you didn't misunderstand my previous reply to this thread. I want to state that Skype is no longer used for connecting with other people, we use a program called Discord now which is even better and you can have it running on your phone for example if your computer cannot handle the multitasking (I use a Macbook too myself and I somewhat know the pain that you are going through). I never had anything against this suggestion and I guess I should've said "neutral" or something there but the things you pointed out really do make sense and you got me convinced to give this suggestion +1

I also agree with the addition you suggested that there would be a set window for accepting maps.
