I was just putting together some parts for a PC, and I have a few questions.How much fps will this get me in Minecraft?
Is this a good or decent build?
Can I do better than this for a better price?
I'm looking for some repsponses, thanks for reading.

Yeah you will get alot of fps probably like 3/400 with goodish settings. In my opinion getting a 970 rn would be a mistake as the RX 480 from amd has almost the same performance for about 200$. If you are set on getting a 970 I would recommend getting a custom card from the likes of zotac or msi so you have the possibly of overclocking. Soeaking of overclocking if you plan on overclocking your cpu/gpu you will probably want to get a 600w psu especially if you are getting bronze although you should be able to manage with the 500 w/o overclockingPosted on 01 July 2016 - 05:19 PM

Your motherboard is overpriced, you really don't need it.
Here is what I believe you should get, it saves you $300, and will still have fantastic performance, with the money I saved you, I was able to get you an SSD, as well as a GTX 980.
With the money you saved, you can do a number things:
Add a larger SSD, Pocket the money, Buy a 144hz monitor (if you play CS:GO), new peripherals (keyboard/mouse)

You don't need to go and have someone build it for you.
Computers are not very hard to build at all, Austin Evans's like 80 year old grandpa did it.

This one is more like yours, it's using an intel-based system along with an EVGA PSU
(TechSource)
It's not complex at all, you can do it!
OR, you can go with this build which is right around $1500 which includes a 480GB SSD (instead of a 120GB SSD - i would suggest this if you plan on putting a lot of games as well as your OS on the SSD), GTX 980 TI, another fan you can mount on your CPU cooler, or really anywhere else, thermal compound.

Not sure if you saw my previous post, but even though it has the same performance as a 980+, it doesn't work well with Java-based softwares (Minecraft falls into that category)

I honestly have no idea.I'll just say this, Minecraft is not a difficult game to run.
This guy ran the benchmark in minecraft with a i5 6600k (the processor i recommended) and only a GTX 970, and he's getting 1500-2000 FPS,
You will be getting a great framerate in this game.
