What is your preferred strategy in a UHC?I know about snowballing and bordering; but no matter what i do; if i go to 0,0 like 45mins in almost everyone i fight is full dia (I never had a spec though). Same is true for the border at 1:05.
Dont get me wrong, this is not about xray; in fact i do believe most oft them are legit.
I consider my caving to be at least decent, but i have a hard time getting more than half dia + my PvP skills are somewhat limited (Build elo around 1800 if I play sweaty). But if I dont go up super early most of the people i fight are overgeared and have something like fire/flame/sharp4 dia…
So let me know what you do when going up and especially when.

I would recommend getting good on a horse, particularly if horse regen is on. I've never been amazing at melee but I can get a lot of kills and get stacked by being good on a horse.
For the best snowballs I try and go 1 piece or more and get there at around 30 minutes, before anyone is too stacked. That way you can fight/clean other less stacked people and get armour that way.

Try to start caving at around 5-10 minutes in (closer to 5) you need to offer yourself as much time underground as possible. If you are missing sugar cane or leather just head down anyway and get it when you surface. The extra minutes at the beginning will help you in the long run and will get you a cave that hasn't been explored yet.
Cave around 1.5k,2k (order doesn't matter) if you are planning on bordering, and 1k,1.5k (again order doesn't matter) if you are planning on snowballing. This keeps you away from where other players will be caving (near 00 and at the borders but keeps you somewhat close to where you want to be. It also makes it so if you change your mind about bordering/snowballing you can still do whichever one you want.
If you don't find a surface cave by 8 minutes in I would recommend digging down, make sure to not dig straight down but find a way that is quick and safe.
Try to multitask and not spend too much time smelting/collecting flint or whatever it is you have to do. Sitting infront of your furnace and collecting iron/gold one by one is the worst thing you can do, try to get levels or staircase a little while waiting.
If you have a bad cave or no cave at all staircase and listen for sounds. If you hear lava and you're under y22 you will most likely find it at y11.
Don't stay in the same place of a cave for too long, if there are multiple branches of a cave, choose on and keep going through it. If you know your way back when you run into a dead end then go back but if you don't then staircase again.
Just cave quickly and make good use of time. Don't be too layed back and chill during caving because that is the most important part of your game.

I dont play badlion games to win because i hate melee, so i try to bowspam them (\o/ praise bowspam \o/). Works pretty often because sometimes they just deny the bows existence and try to 100% melee even if they have a bow. I mean if im undergeared i try to build a trap, ive gotten about 7 kills using traps and made traps about 30 times but sometimes you have no other option, and the loot you can get is insane, ive gone from full iron un ench to full diamond fire sword full prot 3.
