With the old system, they'll lose a shit ton of Elo, another shit ton, and another shit ton. I don't mind the new system at all, and if it protects you from disconnects as well and from random drains then I support it. The only thing about draining is that you'd have to be on a losing streak and in my opinion losing a few Elo and then a shit ton is much better than losing a shit ton constantly. Your argument isn't even valid at this point.
Ok but why not have ELO and then lose a little, lose a few more, then lose a shit ton? Everyone should be able to see their numerical rating on the side of platinum, gold, etc. Someone's rating would look like "Gold II 1830" This would keep the "improved" rating system while keeping it simple so people can see a more understandable rating on the side.
The reason why the ELO won't be introduced back is also because of the community. Think about this - you would always see in the chat people saying like "1800+ msg me for 2v2s" and shit. That's confusing as to being 1800 in which ladder. Now another thing that I believe Badlion Developers have done either intentionally or unintentionally is remove some of the toxicity from the server. Because of having ELO as a rating system, a toxic player would say to the other "ha I have 10 more elo than u! gg bro! i'm better dan u!" This would cause the other player to leave due to being disrespected on another server. Now think about this, if we had the new system implemented, then a player couldn't make fun of you for being lower than him if you were both in the same tier. He literally can't say anything at all. That's one step closer for a player being a
