Effect of cps

it would be true if u had 0 ping to a server but not every click registers as a hit. if you click 2 cps (1 cps every 1/2 seconds) im pretty sure the chance of both those hits registering is not a 100% on a server.

If the internet connection between your computer and the server is completely stable, they will register every time.

Even if you had 0 ping, which is impossible unless you play on the computer you host the server on or something, the server would also need to have 0 lag and delay and whatnot.

I can only get 6-8 cps and im 1500-1600 in all pot/gap kits… I'm also a pot/gap player. I don't see the need to click any faster since MC doesn't register hits that fast anyways… however Archybot isn't 100% correct, if you clicked at 3cps it would register slower than me clicking at 7, merely because the game isn't 100% accurate when counting hits. I don't think I'd be that much better if I clicked faster, so I don't think it's too important. As long as it's above ~7 it's probably fine.

Anything over 2 CPS is wasted since you can only hit a player every half second. I would say 6-7 is the max you need to effectively get each hit timely.
if you get 0ms on a 20tps server then yes otherwise not so much.

If you're clicking to your maximum cps capability, you obviously can't spare a lot of effort to other things. When you jitter very hard, and don't know how to control it, you aim goes very shaky and it's difficult to place lava, rod, pot, pearl, etc.
This depends as to how long you've been playing for. I've been playing for years and can jitter and control how I rod, pearl, bow, lava, and aim.

Obviously you can, I can too, but I'm talking about jittering as hard as you literally can.

@Lil_uzi_iscool69 I guess that makes sense, I only go for like 8 in pot / gapple, but isn't it also to not get tired? And also 420th post T_T

I get like 7 cps and was #2 gapple in season 11 (Different account) cps doesn't matter, latency, and movement matter (s/w tapping a & d strafing, etc.) also timed blockhitting (instead of spamming right click)

Have you ever tried to play with 2 cps, you get destroyed, because ofthey are most likely clicking faster and with clicking faster there are many adevantages to it. Try it, you get comboed easily.

The thing about clicking faster is it resets your sprint faster and you take less knockback. That's the main advantage to it.

I get 11-13 cps (13 cps is really shaky) I can rod trick and I do see an improvement when jittering.

tbh I think @OneLegacy said it the best, I don't think cps matters that much to an extent, I would say you need 6-8 at least tho

@Lil_uzi_iscool69 kinda true, but higher cps doesn't give you less kb. More hits give you less kb / give more as each time you hit a person sprint is reset, so aim > cps for less kb taken / more given.

ps: I think this is what you meant, just more clear

also, it's the shaky thing isn't because you get more cps, it's because you're shaking your mouse so much your aim goes awry.

I play way worse when I jitter (12 cps) because I have to focus more on vibrating my arm and keeping a steady click speed but when I click normally (8 cps) I barely even notice that I'm clicking and I can focus more on strafing, w tapping, aim and secondaries. I've found that putting my middle finger over my main clicking finger when jittering helps keep me steady and I can focus more on other aspects of pvp.

but even people with really good internet experience "particles" from tiem to time where their hits dont register , correct me if im wrong but i really dont think you can have a 100% hit registration rate
Ive tried clicking 2 cps in a match before, literally no hits register… I'd say you don't need more than 10.

@RealBlobRobber what you said about the middle finger works for me, I kinda use index and middle next to each other and just press down so it's a constant / good speed and allows you to concentrate.
Also grats on 1800 u g0d
