Approximate Elos for new S13 rankings

Wouldn't this only be accurate when there is 460,000 players in the ladder?
For it to be perfectly accurate, then yes. I think there's a pretty big margin for error though, and only the high numbers would probably really change that much.

Ik I'm wrong and I have no math to back this up but this is what makes sense to me.

Brown: Under 1300
Silver: 1300-1600
Gold: 1600-1900
Emerald: 1900-2200
Diamond: 2200-2500
Masters: 2500+

?

Mine is
Bronze
1150-1450
Silver
1451-1750
Gold
1751-2000
Emerald
2001-2300
Diamond
2301-2700
Masters
2701-3000
Legend (just having some fun…)
3000+

I was low 1600s (build) most of last season (ended below 1600 unfortunately)… My rank is silver I and I am not increasing from there whatsoever. I am not a fan of this knockback (seems like too little right now), or for that matter, MMR.

If I'm correct, there's only 46 (or 47 - I forgot) players that you got the data from. Everything's good and all but I'd get at least 500 players (1/1000 for it to be perfectly accurate) to participate. I think you understand why.

nice thread. But how exactly did you get these calculations?
i gberry's post, he said the percentile for the ranks. Ny simply found the percentile for elo and pair the two together.

Archy tweeted that the percentages weren't exactly accurate. I'm gonna assume that it doesn't affect most of them too much though. If only 4 last season got Mastery when they were put into the system, then Masters is actually right around 2600+, or the top ~.0009%.
