PC Specs
Posted on 17 July 2016 - 06:57 PM
First things first, I barely know what I'm doing when it comes to computer specs. Please bear with me and how clueless I am.I play MC without a problem - fine FPS, no lag, etc. What I would really love to do is record. Whenever I start doing that, my FPS shifts and I notice it to get very choppy. I don't believe this is recording software issue (I've played around with both Action and OBS); maybe there is something I can do regarding my specs to help the problem.
Mine are the following:
Processor - AMD FX™-8350 Eight-Core Processor (8 CPUs), ~4.0Ghz
Memory - 8.00 GB
Operating System - Windows 10 Home 64-bit
I'm very sorry that this thread is vague; again, I have no idea what I'm doing. I'd rather give less information than the wrong information. If anyone would be so kind as to help me 1-on-1 with what I have and how to work with it or figuring out what the rest of my specs are, oh how I would appreciate that.
Other two questions I have:
What is the recording software of your choice and what are those settings?
If I wanted to sell this PC and invest money from working this summer on buying a better one, where would I do that?
Thank you very much,
Naidemoc

What recording software are you using? Also what GPU do you have?If you wanna sell it look to craigslist or ebay.
Generally, this CPU ( i have it) isn't exactly the best to record with. it also has to do with your GPU as well, I get decent frames when I record/stream, (FX 8350 + R9 290)
