We aren't removing instant bans. This is exactly the reason why people hate Watchdog, it bans players after they have already damaged other people's gameplay.Posted on 03 August 2016 - 07:47 AM

I am not saying that instant bans should be removed, I am saying that they should obviously be kept but that every day or every week there should be a program/script which would work the same as the script on judgement day, collecting logs from people which were cheating but didnt get autobanned by gcheat, this way it would get rid of much more ghostclienters early, and most cheaters with high elo on badlion do come back on alts when they get banned and they cheat again on those alts, this would prevent exactly that, and it would get rid of people coming on with ghost clients, playing some matches and thinking that gcheat cant catch them, and then they keep on cheating till the next jday. I dont think I explained what I meant with a daily/weekly jday that good but I hope you get the idea

I get the idea now, but it will not work. If there was a way to make a script1) look at someones logs in an extended period of time
2) ban more cheaters while not banning any innocents
3) be smarter than the current one
then we would have already done it. The thresholds are fine as they are. If they weren't I'd be slapping archy on his face
"every week there should be a program/script which would work the same as the script on judgement day, collecting logs from people which were cheating but didnt get autobanned by gcheat"
So we should create 2 systems/scripts, one being smarter than the other? I'd rather have the already existing instant autobanner become smarter and look at a bigger timeframe (even if that was possible) instead of creating something new on top of the already existing one.
Judgement days are basically for the detection of new cheats only, not for already existing checks

Of course, all the blatant flying 10 block clienters would be evading due punishment for longer than they should be, etc, etc.
@MasterGberry bc this is a good idea
+1 all of my GApple losses are to cheaters and a good portion of build losses too.

Thanks for explaining it, I wont reply to this anymore after this
