So, I've been really conflicted on choosing a playstyle that works for me. For now, I've been playing defensive as I've found bowing easier then fighting players with 0 knockback, and an 8 block reach. However, people say that this playstyles takes no skill, is boring, and isn't effective on really good players. Tell me guys, what playstyles do you use, how does it work, what skills are needed to make it function effectively? Should I keep with, and improve the defensive playstyles, or being playing aggressive like most players?Posted on 24 July 2016 - 08:43 AM
To be really good, defensive doesn't work, you'll notice that almost everyone 2200+ doesn't play defensive. It's boring and does take skill, but it can be both frustrating for both you and your opponent.
If you want to keep playing defensive, play defensive, and watch @Hivlik 's early elo series for defensive build playstyles. If you want to switch to aggressive, watch every good youtuber out there.

Your playstyle won't have as much of an effect as skill. Any good player will be consistent with either playstyle whereas an inexperienced player will struggle either way.Posted on 24 July 2016 - 08:58 AM
@Jahmyr I agree, but that's partially due to them wanting to grind elo / win matches faster. Personally, I think playing like a bitch works extremely well for me, bowspam away like 2 gaps at the start then lava, pick up and repeat. I also usually always bowspam them when they try to initiate a sword fight, ez 3 shots at least. @Oromo watch @Hivlik 's builduhc uncut tourney where he plays super defensive, bear in mind that he is extremely good with a bow (#3 global / always on archer leaderboards), it might not be as effective if your trash at archerPosted on 24 July 2016 - 09:09 AM
It depends on the player, if they aren't good with bow ill try to keep it to a bow fight.Posted on 24 July 2016 - 09:49 AM
I not an extremely good bow user, but I'm good enough to land most mid-range shots, although long range archery is my favorite. Maybe a hybrid playstyle? With using the bow to deal damage early on, and using the sword later on in the fight?Posted on 24 July 2016 - 12:02 PM
i like rodspamming until they leave the matchPosted on 24 July 2016 - 12:43 PM

Or until it's a tie so you don't lose Elo.

you sound like that sweaty wannabe who gets mad.
If someone bows they bow spam.
If they only melee they sword rush.
If they do both they hack.
Typical badlion player

good luck getting anywhere on au with an offensive playstyle lmaoPosted on 25 July 2016 - 01:56 AM
So playing like a bitch is unskilled? For example you're saying bowing then down is unskilled, so the bow requires no skill? It certainly does.Posted on 25 July 2016 - 01:57 AM

I am defensive af. and I was 2100 elo last season.I suggest playing aggressive. although I cant kill people who do MY tactic
how to be defensive,
1 - always try to land a shot when ur enemy is eating
2 - rod twice or once get some hits dont go in too much and s tap backup and bow again
3 - (My secret tactic. I didnt say it to anyone other than @torace ) sorry this wont matter because it takes skill to perform.
4 - put lava and pick it back up again QUICKLY your enemy WILL panic
5 - wall up 3x3
6 - if the guy is VERY fucking agressive go to a corner wall up wait a bit until your enemy pulls his pick out of his inv and when he is trying to do that get out of your hole and start critting him
7 - enjoy death threats
thanks for reading!!! tag me back if u wanna ask smthing
