Just like HackForums has theirs alphabetized: http://prntscr.com/by1em3 (Fun fact there's way more users online, just wanted to use an example)
This would be beneficial to players as they can see if a specific player and/or staff member is online. Sometimes players would just want to see who is currently online and if they know someone, they would want to see if they're online. This could help with that.
Oh and maybe you can add something whereas what players are currently reading the thread you're viewing, just like this: http://prntscr.com/by1fje
