The good- People's skill are def. gonna improve. Just take a look at the global leaderboard, the number 1 players KDR is just above 2. Last season, the number 1 global was about 10. This shows that the new matchmaking system works for sure.The bad- Only ladder you can queue is nodebuff and of course, build. Last season this was pretty much the same case but with build and sg, but you could at least advertise in chat, "ranked diamond" and people would join very quickly. Now, for me, in the kit that I'm actually decent in, diamond, I haven't even been able to get out of qualifying. I really hope the global ladder that many people have made threads about, got good "reviews" but didn't get implemented, can I maybe get a reason for that?

Agreed. For smaller regions, the matchmaking system should allow for players to fight a wider range. This is because if you have a high rank, it takes extremely long to actually get into a match, because there is a relatively smaller playerbase, hence long waiting times.
Another glitch : Also if you go on Asia, you can see that the "Range Expanded…" thing doesn't work well. I often join a queue with more than 2 people queued up, and even after waiting up to 5 minutes, the message "Range Expanded…" is still spamming in the chat but I am not actually getting placed with players below or above my rank(Gold). Please fix "Range Expanded…" thing because for me, it doesn't work correctly.
Lastly : Please fix the knockback, it isn't ideal :/

Absolutely brilliant! This was one of the most important things that I noticed that was wrong… A progression system will be so handy and increase the will to work for that rank up. I also have experienced the rank switching the hard way… I kept dropping and getting back up a lot! Looking forward to seeing the fixes for these, it'll be awesome! Edit: Oh, and the Global ranking keeps going back and forth too as I only play one ladder… And every time I rank up to SilverII according to the huge orange text in the chat, the TAB still shows SilverIII… Every single time.

A "match chat" is a great idea, you can directly talk either to your own teammates or the opponent without having to really "look for it" in the usual chat and therefore maybe get distracted. The more closed environment will definitely help people to concentrate, a great great idea!

This has seriously happened to me dozens of times… I really hated the fact that I kept losing against the same opponent like 7 times and draining nearly 150 rating… It sucked, trust me… I know I could've just stopped playing ranked but I had faith that I'd get placed in a different match with a different opponent… A fix for this is needed and appreciated.
All in all it is great to see that the staff team/admins/developers have seen the potential issues and come up with sensible solutions. I just want to emphasise that @MasterGberry you really don't have to apologise to the community about your "inactivity" if one can even call it that… You've been on the forums and Discord in the middle of moving and other really important stuff and one can not expect you to be online 24/7. I couldn't have asked for more or better solutions than what you guys have come up with, great job!

I couldn't agree more with Cobbo. I have the same problem on SA because everything people play ranked is Build and since my rating is decently high I really can't queue up with anyone and I don't have the patience to wait like half a hour just to play one match, but the problem isn't the amount of players because there are always a fair amount of players although they're only playing unranked or ranked build due to most of them being non-donators and this really frustrates me. I finally have a good server that I get good ping to but I'm limited to playing unranked combo or something, I realize it's not your fault but I hope the developer team does something about it. EDIT: 1. Range expanded doesn't seem to work on my end
2. The kb is fine as long as I fight a non laggy player (15 ms on south america)

almost everyone here is like below gold 3 so it takes forever to find a match if u are gold 2+
Hit detection is also quite weird like sometimes double hits occur randomly, it really feels weird idk if its just me but I could try playing on a server where I get 90-100 ping and I get better hits there
Also the server that I used to played on when asia wasnt a thing(not gonna speak the name) has like 200+ players online during peak time while badlion has around 180-200 so I hope a lot can be improved
Thanks for the feedback, we will be working on some improvements to the matchmaker for the lower count regions to make sure you can still play games, sadly there is a high chance you will not be able to get as highly ranked on those regions. Shouldn't be having issues in Gold finding matches though.

for the unplayed ladders which is basically every ladder besides build sg and occasionally no debuff after the range expanded command has finished cycling and expanding instead of saying "failed to find ranked match" it should (in my opinion) just place you into a match with whoever is in the queue regardless of there skill. Also ik people rant on and on about this but the kb for pot ladders just feels a little inconsistant and mish mash where sometimes you will go flying and other times you will stick to the floor. Good to see that you took the time though to talk and make a thread about this and acknowledging there is problems rather than claiming that it is perfect :)Posted on 31 July 2016 - 01:29 PM

The system doesn't seem to be very forgiving as promised too. Losing to an unranked person or a person tiers beneath you makes you lose tons of rating. Perfect example is my most recent 2v2 match (66 rating for 1 loss). I've drained people 44 rating as well.

The issue with that is not the rating system, but rather that the matchmaker had a bug where it was matchmaking everyone as if they had default rating if they were in a 2v2 or 3v3 match.
Ideally you should not be getting matched against people who are several tiers below you. This is some tweaking that needs to be done to the matchmaker. e.g. the furthest person you should fight is someone about 6-7 divisions away from you, aka Silver III vs Gold I would be the maximum for instance.

People think badlion is gonna die like MCSG. The difference is that ChadTheDJ barely even used his own forums, and the MCSG staff are just shit. Badlion's transparency and the fact that they are constantly listening to the community gives me hope that this server will not follow the same path like MCSG did.
