Yeah, before we get into this I was muted for Death Threats… in October…(the ban was accidental, the staff member forgot to check my page first)
But Verillium stated in his appeal for a perm mute that he had 50 old mutes, some of which were more than a year old. I think that punishments that were issued/ended 365 days ago should be removed from the punishment page, because people can change after a year's time. Also, punishments from 2013-14 would automatically be removed. Some punishment pages can take a while to scroll down, and you don't want to do all that scrolling. But still, I would like year-old punishments to be removed. Not gonna tag an admin/owner about this till it reaches two pages so people have a chance to respond. I have a feeling I'm gonna get some criticism, but if I do please be constructive. Thanks

It's good that people change but what they did will always be there, "forgive but not forget". We are probably never gonna remove old punishmentsPosted on 31 July 2016 - 10:17 PM
maybe not remove, but hide so only staff and the player can see them. Takes away the embarrassment from people scrutinizing you because of your past punishments, but retains that "forgive not forget" thing that @Saimo mentionedPosted on 31 July 2016 - 10:28 PM
This has been suggested a ton of times and denied a ton of times. The fact that you and other people can see your old punishments is a good thing, and this is coming from a staff member with an ugly ass punishment page. Punishments from over a year ago will not be held against you anyway so there is not much point in removing them.Posted on 01 August 2016 - 03:04 AM

So I think generally punishments should stay as it helps us see a persons history and whatnot :p I do think False ones should be removed though :pPosted on 02 August 2016 - 03:14 AM
I think that managers should have the ability to remove the punishment in the case of an accepted staff abuse report. As for having the punishment limited only to the person punished and the staff, it's a good idea but sometimes, players make reports based on a person's past punishments that staff might not've noticed so that's a no from me.And yea, having punishments removed from the list after a period of time… never gonna happen.

I like trash talking to people and find out they've been banned for hacking before (this has happened a lot), so that's why even though I have a lot mutes think it should stay, never try to get ban though.Posted on 05 August 2016 - 11:24 PM

The other point of public punishments is that Badlion staff tends to try and have a greater commitment to transparency than most servers. We want everyone to know who we punish and be able to see our appeal system, because that way players can hold us accountable.Posted on 07 August 2016 - 01:38 AM
