http://www.strawpoll.me/10897255I personally liked the other soup better because it was more skilled based when you only have 1 hotbar to work with. Even good players can get unlucky and lose due to a slowclick speed hindering their refill, or just an unlucky quickdrop while refilling. I personally liked the speed 1 better as well, since it was the only one with speed 1, it helped me get better at speed 1.
I'd like to see what others thing, so please comment and vote on the poll

A solution for being dropped because you can't refill fast enough is make the sword like sharp1 or change it to non enchanted iron armor and reg diamond sword. I like speed2 though.Posted on 02 August 2016 - 03:21 PM
I'd prefer Speed I, but I like the idea of having to refill in soup.Posted on 02 August 2016 - 05:13 PM

I also like the idea of having to refill in soup, but the problem with Speed I is that its a tad bit harder to strafe and most people just jump for crits.

Also, if your refill is a bit slow (like mine), just practice to make it faster. Plus, I love the thoughts of quickdrops, as it forces people to refill faster, and punishes people who have slow refills. Plus, the previous soup (s12) was if one person got a combo, they won. Last season's soup pushes people to focus more on conserving their soups, then actually fighting. Plus, speed I makes it a bit harder to strafe, and encourages players to jump for crits.

"get unlucky and lose due to slow click speed hindering their refill". That's not luck, that's just your refills being sub par.I like this season's soup much more, even though I'm way worse at it. Since you get a full inventory of soups, it brings back some of the old soup techniques, like quick dropping your bowls and refilling. I also think speed 2 is better, since that's more commonly used in soup pvp, and speed 1 is extremely uncommon. Overall S13's soup ladder takes more skill imo

I think that they should have 2 soup kits. S12 soup and s13's.Posted on 02 August 2016 - 05:52 PM

First of all, yes, I do think click speed takes more skill than conservation of soups, especially when it's only 1 hotbar. Secondly, the new version of the ladder doesn't remove soup conservation. It's literally the same ladder as last season but with more depth.

More soup and having to refill is also a skill to do so and speed 2 is better imo, -1Posted on 02 August 2016 - 09:12 PM

Well sorry, refilling fast is a skill required for soup.

@FightingCloud the more healing/pots/soups you have, the less you have to conserve, applies to UHC/pot/soup. Most soup fights these days end with quickdrops anyway, so no, there's much less soup conservation going on now as opposed to in s12 soup.I liked the old soup better as well, but it's only fair that this kit stays. It practices souping skills much better than the old one, and forces you to actually learn the ladder unlike the last one (literally all you had to do is be good at diamond and you would know who to play)

they arent gonna change it from this at least for nowPosted on 10 August 2016 - 11:33 AM
-1Imo that kit didn't really highlight all the parts of soup(refill, crafting).
Besides, soup in the past has always kind of been speed 2 or no speed(pls correct me if I'm wrong).
