So I realised that nobody talked about the spectator mode being changed, and I realised that you cant open inventories, any reasons?Last edited on 06 August 2016 - 08:01 AM by Teracerus
I am not sure if I can apply UHC spectator principles to ArenaPvP spectator principles, but here is a quote from Archybot:posted on 03 August 2015 – 02:37 AM, comrade Archybot wrote
The reason spoiling when dead is not allowed is because when you die in a game, you are DEAD. Once you die you should have absolutely zero influence on the game period. We allow you to say gg/gf and say your goodbyes, but the second you die you are no longer part of the game. Saying what other people have/you had and other information influences the game, which you should not do since you are dead.

In both UHC and ArenaPvP, when spectator x has the permission to access user y's inventory, x acquires the ability to influence the game by spoiling the opponent z what user y has. This is unfair, because if z, after thinking that y has one piece of healing gets informed by x that y in fact has 30,121,920 pieces of healing, z changes its strategy.
So, it is up to you to decide whether this is fair or not, but my opinion now is that whatever change regarding this happens in UHC, it should also happen in ArenaPvP, vice versa.

It's because players would ghost for certain players and tell them their opponents healingPosted on 06 August 2016 - 10:45 AM

I dont understand why you were able to do that for like 6 seasons and they remove it now

Just because something wrong was done for a long time doesn't mean we should relinquish and not fix it.

it was a huge advantage to have a spec in ranked matchesPosted on 06 August 2016 - 11:11 AM
As everyone in here has stated it was removed for ghosting purposes. It was becoming more and more of an issue as time went on. We could look into it adding it back into non-ranked matches though.Posted on 10 August 2016 - 11:31 AM
