Hello, in this thread I will be talking about the new rating system that is being used in Badlion Season 13. I think that this system runs you into more hackers and that you fight the same people way more. I was playing earlier and I queued a hacker around 3 times in a row just because he was the same rating as me. To improve this, I suggest making it so you can't fight the same person more than twice in a certain time period. This prevents people sniping eachother and running into hackers.I also have noticed that it takes much longer to queue people now as it did with the old ELO system, another thing I have noticed is that the player count has decreased by quite a lot due to this ELO system. I personally think you should implement the ELO system back into Badlion for 1 week and watch the player count. I have spoke with many high ELO players and they personally feel as if the ELO system should come back. I know you might say that this system is used in many other competitive games but lets be real here, most people prefer ELO and don't care what system other games use, I mean why should we copy other games rating system?
Place your votes on this strawpoll if ELO should make a return:

+1 If you mean not queue up against a certain person twice in a certain time period :)Posted on 07 August 2016 - 01:45 PM
This would only work for a ladder with a large pool of players such as Build UHC. It already takes long enough to find a fight in any unplayed game modes.Posted on 07 August 2016 - 01:54 PM
+1 I basically said most of this in my post but they locked itPosted on 07 August 2016 - 02:52 PM

Going to be brutally honest and say I agree here, I completely understand why the new Rating system was implemented and what it was trying to achieve but I just felt more motivated and generally preferred the Elo system despite the flaws it had, however let's not forget this new system is new so even though I preferred Elo it may just need a tad bit of time to reach its full potential.
