I'm curious - if you've never cheated or if you cheated and then stopped and have stayed legit, what was the driving force? What has stopped you from wanting to hack? I have my own reasons, but I'm almost positive they're pretty uncommon. What are yours?Posted on 08 August 2016 - 01:43 PM

A ton to gain? Sure. But nothing to accomplish. If you closet cheat you'll never get to lean back and be proud of what you've achieved.

Several reasons!1. If you cheat you are most likely going to get banned, that means you can't play and can't become staff.
2. What fun is there being a closet cheater with an undetected client? Sure you might win but you know that its not by skill you are winning.
3. I dislike it when people hack because it ruins my experience so I don't want to do that to others.
4. To me it just feels… wrong. Its like in real life you know what's the moral think to do.
5. Cheaters are frowned upon in all walks of life- you are just kidding yourself in essence.

Used an aimbot for like a second on badlion then turned it off so I wouldn't get banned and accidentally used a like 50cps macro once. I use autoclickers on other servers I don't care about/find awful.Posted on 08 August 2016 - 02:22 PM

That's a good answer. I think that's much of why I've stayed legit as long as I have. But if we could expect everybody to hold the same sense of ethic to what is (admittedly) no more than a game, we wouldn't have had any problem of cheaters in the first place.
You know, cheating or trying to cheat is something that is a part of innate human nature. And not that this justifies it; it just makes me wonder, if I somehow had some sort of client or whatever that took away all risk of being caught, would I take that opportunity? I think no - personally, I have a pretty warped sense of strong morality tied to the competition of this game. But again, we can't expect other people to all hold that. And I haven't always had that, either. Back before judgement day 1, when everyone remotely good was autoclicking because everybody thought it was entirely undetectable, the only reasons I never did we're because 1. Nobody ever offered the idea to me, so I didn't particularly have to weigh the risks simply because it didn't cross my mind and 2. I didn't have a gaming mouse where I could set it up easily. Otherwise, I'm almost positive I would have.

for me i stopped cheating when i got banned off like every decent server, i realised that it wasnt getting me anywhere, yes it made me look good when i wasnt banned, but then when i got banned it ruined my reputation and it created a lot of beef w/ people. Also back when i cheated i had virtually no game sense and thought pvp was all about click speed and aim i had no conecept of pot managment, or any technique such a wtapping or blockhitting, where as now ik that u dont have to have 100% perfect aim and an insane click speed to be decent / good and i think that is one of the main reasons i havent gone back to cheating, also another reason i havent started cheating again is i wanted to prove to people that i am good / decent legit and i dont have to cheat anymore.Posted on 08 August 2016 - 03:22 PM
I cheated in 2012 and early 2013 on MCSG. It made winning easy, but I couldn't take pride in my achievements. I wasn't the one winning - the client was doing it for me. Once I stopped, I got a lot better at the game and enjoyed it more because I didn't rely on something else to play for me.On top of that, as someone who's been hacked on a lot in four years of playing this game, I don't want to ruin anyone's experience by cheating.

I don't cheat because it takes the fun out of the game, I want to win, I don't want a client to win for me. A few months ago I considered cheating because I was having a ton of trouble getting up high on the leaderboards and the game was getting frustrating. I felt that I hit my peak and I didn't have any space for improvement. What stopped me was being false banned in Judgement Day 7. Right after the ban it was so annoying having everyone think that I cheat (Even though I don't) and the feeling really pissed me off. Since then I have never wanted to have the same feeling and thats what is currently holding me back. When I hacked I always made myself as blatant as possible. Once, I went to Kohi and used the shittiest client ever and got banned the second I turned the kill aura on.I still hack sometimes on mineplex but very rarely.

If you are talking about closet cheating the reason I havent or never will is because doesnt matter if people think I am a god I know myself that it isnt true which is what is most important. If you are talking about just flying and 8 blocking people , 1 cheating doesnt fit my personality it just doesnt 2 I dont want to ruin other peoples experience as many people has done to me. Why does it matter if people think that you are good or not when you are cheating at it?
