Now, I've never played a hosted UHC, but looking at resolved staff reports and things of that nature, hosts are under incredible stress all throughout the ~2 hours of the UHC they host. They receive dozens of helpops, reports, xray logs, and messages every minute, possibly more. Obviously, they cannot attend to every one of those, but what we can do is have each host have an "assistant" in some scenarios.By assistant I mean minigames/arena mod/possibly a new special "UHC Supervisor" rank who has agreed to help the host deal with rule breakers.
The assistant will not need extensive knowledge of how to administrate UHCs. They will deal only with cheaters, campers, chat offenders, things that they already know how to handle. They will not attend to xrayers, illegal miners, iPVP, respawning, etc. They will have access to helpop and reports. They will have access to a private chat with the host.
Now, the situations in which at least 1 supervisor is required to be present.
-Games with 300+ slots
-Games at peak times for the region where the UHC is taking place
-to5+ games since those will always fill up beyond 300 players
Games where supervisors are encouraged to be present, but not required:
-every game, since hosts are always swamped with problems no matter how many people there are
This is a suggestion to ease the immense load of stress each host takes upon him/herself every time he/she hosts a UHC, please take it into consideration.

Although a good idea, I don't think this is necessary. We have a lot of hosts already, who can do the exact same job. If a host can't host a full game, but can perhaps mod a bit of a game, we encourage hosts to go mod the first 20 minutes of a game to help out the host with iPvP, Excessive stalking etc. to relieve the pressure off of the host, especially if the game has a big fill.Posted on 20 August 2016 - 04:05 PM
Nah we just need more hosts hosting games tbhPosted on 23 August 2016 - 12:38 AM
+1 Could be a green website tag, kind of like tournament helper. At least we still have chatmod though :PPosted on 28 August 2016 - 10:08 AM
Don't see the point in this. Hosts just need to be encouraged to mod more.Posted on 28 August 2016 - 01:27 PM
This literally doesn't make sense, because everything you said has already been put into place and did you say stress??! I know being a mod or host isn't easy, but anyone that has it wanted it and they can leave anytime too. I have actual stress, I get mad when I die to stupid reason in Badlion, but I don't really consider it stress. I have real stress without school/hw and a lot of personal stuff. That is what stress is, not getting mad or overwhelmed by a block gamePosted on 28 August 2016 - 01:28 PM

+1. I don't see why Arena staff can't use their knowledge for UHC games…Posted on 28 August 2016 - 02:02 PM

Honestly can't answer why they volunteer for this but my point is that less rule breakers get caught because of the pressure hosts go through

It's not real pressure, and it's never that much and if people actually take offense to others saying "kys" to others especially to mods/hosts then they need help

Because they're Arena staff and shouldn't interfere with UHC Games if a host is there.

They already have chat punishment permissions and if they want to handle other parts of the server to do with combat hacks then they should apply for a staff position there.

Because they aren't meant to be there and shouldn't be required to. They applied for Arena/Minigames, not for UHC.

If they want to be there and help, why should we stop them?
Sure, they applied for things other than UHC, but their lack of knowledge about it hardly matters if they're taking care of things they ALREADY know how to handle.
Hm, maybe I should edit out the "required" part for some UHC games.
