PVP Rant

I know you guys are probably tired of seeing me here but I have some questions for you, I've been practicing and working my hardest to improve and the game and I have made progress, espesially with the bow. But my melee, it's still shit. In BuildUHC, players keep using their rods better and mine always miss, no matter how much effort is put into aiming them. Speed II PvP is even worse. I'm still not too sure how this w-tap/breaking sprint thing works, but I do know a lot of players to do well even more in pot/gapple ladders. You hardly can touch them and you can't do anything out it. I want to know how this works completely and how I can use it to my advantage. If this affects anything, I click 5 cps. Another thing is that I use 1.8.8 with the labymod. The reason for this is that on my family's computer I do not have administrator so I cannot download 1.7.10 forge without my parents password and they hate Minecraft, so they would never put the code which would allow me to download it. Somehow though, I have the labymod which gives me toggle sprint and optifine along with allowing me to blockhit. I feel that hits don't register all that well in 1.8 so I should switch to 1.7. I have a 1.7 optifine client but it doesn't have toggle sprint so it would be difficult for me to PVP. Should I spend the time learning to hold my sprint key to play 1.7 or stick with toggle sprint and 1.8 Also sorry for the rant and long post, I just like to write. xDPosted on 18 August 2016 - 11:19 PM
Don't need togglesprint, use bettersprinting 1.7.10just put the .json and .jar files into one file named "1.7.10_sprint" (exactly like that) and move it into your versions folder, 0 need for togglesprint because bettersprinting does everything 100% the same
Getting high cps at this stage helps a lot, and it carries you far (yeah aim is more important but cps is still a heavy advantage)

Go watch kevstah's 10K pvp tutorial for w tapping. If you're moving to a side while Redding you have to look a little bit to the right if you're going left and vice versaLast edited on 19 August 2016 - 01:26 PM by RealBlobRobber

IGNORE TYPOS I WAS ON MOBILE
For someone who is learning I would not recommend jitter clicking. Try to learn proper movement first. Moving backwards, ridding, and then going for the combo isn't going to get you anywhere, any good player can counter that. Push toward your opponent and really practice locking your aim on them. In speed II I would recommend running at your opponent moving side to side a *little* so that they have to continuously aim left and right and then you can decide which side to strafe to and then w tap/blockhit. It's complicated and takes some practice. Also about 1.7, all you really need is optifine, can you download that at least? The labymod really doesn't recreate the 1.7 pvp experience.
