Hey guys. So as many of you know Season 13 is coming to an end later today (11:59 PM PST). We will be taking the entire network off for a short amount of time while we push all the software changes through to properly transition season 13 to season 14. After that the largest season on ArenaPvP will begin to date. We want to commemorate the massive upgrades to the ArenaPvP system with some special goodies going forward.

Tournaments

Right now there has been a serious lack of tournaments on Badlion. This will change in the near future, but to get the hype train boarding a bit earlier than normal, we want to announce some special tournaments for the end of Season 14. The top 256 players in each region will be qualified to enter a tournament fighting against the other top players of that region for some cash prizes. We will be limiting you to entering only one time based on your main region. Alts will not be allowed into other regions and will be removed from qualification. Full details of the tournament to come closer to the end of the season.

The cash prizes will be as follows:

1st place - $125 USD
2nd place - $50 USD
3rd place - $25 USD

This means there is a total of $200 per region up for grabs, or $1000 total cash prizes for Season 14. As mentioned the full tournament signups/qualifications will be made later in the season. We just want to make sure everyone is given a fair advanced warning about this end of season tournament to give them plenty of time to work their way up into the top 256 global players on their main region.

End of Season Rewards

Right now ArenaPvP is kind of repetitive. You start a season, you play for a few months, you get up the leaderboards, but then what? You do it again, and again. It's a lot of fun, but there should be some reward for your hard work. We will be working on a full achievement system with time, but the first piece I want to announce is that at the end of Season 14 we will be awarding players pins for their website profile. These pins will appear on the profile pages and the forum pages to show your skill and dedication to the ArenaPvP season (coming to other game modes soon). There will also be some in-game cosmetic items given out for achieving these pins as well that will only be obtainable by reaching the requirements for the pin. The full details on what the cosmetics will come later when we have finished the development on them.

Here is how you can qualify for one of the end of season rewards. Keep in mind it is possible to qualify for more than one or all of them:

1. Gold ranking on one ladder from the following: BuildUHC, SG, Diamond, Gapple
2. Emerald ranking on one ladder from the following: BuildUHC, SG, Diamond, Gapple
3. Diamond ranking on one ladder from the following: BuildUHC, SG, Diamond, Gapple
4. Masters ranking on one ladder from the following: BuildUHC, SG, Diamond, Gapple
5. Gold ranking on one ladder from the following: Vanilla, NoDebuff, Debuff, Soup
6. Emerald ranking on one ladder from the following: Vanilla, NoDebuff, Debuff, Soup
7. Diamond ranking on one ladder from the following: Vanilla, NoDebuff, Debuff, Soup
8. Masters ranking on one ladder from the following: Vanilla, NoDebuff, Debuff, Soup
9. Gold ranking on one ladder from the following: Archer, Horse, Iron, UHC
10. Emerald ranking on one ladder from the following: Archer, Horse, Iron, UHC
11. Diamond ranking on one ladder from the following: Archer, Horse, Iron, UHC
12. Masters ranking on one ladder from the following: Archer, Horse, Iron, UHC
13. Diamond ranking on at least five ladders during the season
14. Emerald ranking on Global ladder during the season

(Please note that the above qualifications are subject to change during the course of the season if we feel that they are too hard to achieve)

We do not want to create any form of anxiety of people worrying about what their ranking is at the end of the season. As a result the above rewards will be based on your highest rank reached during the season. We will be keeping track of the player's highest ranking during the season and this will be visible on the profile pages as well.

Asian Server Location Changing

We will also be moving our Asian servers to a new location in Japan to test out for the start of the season. Depending on the reaction from the community and the player population we might stay in this new location or switch back to Singapore or another new location. The public poll we ran on Twitter showed most people wanting it to be moved to Japan. We expect to see the player numbers rise in order to help support this claim.

Official start time of Season 14 will be sometime early pacific time on August 20th (Saturday). No specific time is given due to us needing to get things in place before we launch.

Keep in mind that when going for top 256 global. You will want to be the highest possible for a better seed in the tournament/ You won't risk getting knocked off your spot at last second.
