k I want to clarify a few things before I proceed with anything elseA lot of people seem to think bow is a secondary, here's why it is not:
a) a full powered bow shot does more damage than a diamond sword hit
b) in minecraft, secondaries are weapons/things that either help the primary weapon do damage (rod, arguably lava) inflict minor amounts of damage by themselves (fns/lava)
Why do people dislike the bow:
Put it simply, they're bad at it. It's human nature to dislike anything you're bad at.
Why do most of the community hate bow/are bad at it:
Sword/melee is the first instinctive, natural skill to learn.
In vanilla minecraft, the first weapon you obtain is a melee weapon, and obtain a bow much later in the game. Swords are much more convenient/cheap/easy to use.
It also doesn't help that nearly every pvp/practice server out there is centered around sword; potpvp servers, SG servers, most practice servers like Badlion have little bow influence. The only real bow based server is Reddit. This all comes back to people liking what they started doing first.

Yeah its simple,if u are not good in something u hate it…
so u arent good at melee… thats because all you do and like is bow right?
