Basically, I was trying to get a good rank in BuildUHC (wasn't placed yet) until I got matched to 2 Gold people. The main thing that I liked about the matchmaking is that it is faster than before, but the one thing that I hated about it is that you get matched to a high-ranked player and there is a chance that you will just lose (in my case lol). I suggest to lower the range a little bit. For example, if I am Silver III, I should be placed with the same rank as I have or someone that has a higher division than my rank that wouldn't exceed to my rank (for example, Silver I) or lower than my rank that has a lower division (for example, Silver V). If you're silver 3, you can fight anywhere between a gold 3 and a bronze 3.

you should be able to queue people 2+- ranks from your rank

^ not true, it's totally random, you most likely get matched with a higher rank because the majority of players have higher rank than you, in my case i won all of 10 placement matches

Think about the gold players who are waiting for a match, do you think they want to sit in the queue for 5 minutes? No. And also fighting them will help you improve.

OML but this is what everyone wanted, a wider range. Find this constant back and forth pretty amusing TBH.

Also, you don't lose too much MMR for losing to better players, so don't worry too much.
