Maybe they got a faulty machine.
The host sucks, but the real issue is the lack of communication. I would be led to believe that the server was just lagging until I noticed that not all the IPs had adjusted and some were still pointing to the old address.

I know how DNS works, I have a custom router and firewall that I built myself running an FTP and media server both internally and externally from my home network.
I know what I am talking about from a technical standpoint but we are talking about a logistical issue here. The communication from the devs/owners is terrible. They have changed the host again without warning and most people only found out once they started lagging even more than they usually do.
