Bronze and Silver are not that accurate

Qualifying is NOT 1400 it's to place you somewhere on the rating scale through placement matches. Silver III is 1400. Nobody gets this right lol

I don't think 1400 elo was the middle, even though everyone says so.

but the chart here doesn't show anything below 1400 elo. Qualifying has nothing to do with how good someone is, it's there until the system can find a place to put you. Bronze V is the lowest ranking which to me correlates to under 1000 elo. And 1400 elo was the technical center because everyone starts with it and each match the players gain or lose the same amount of elo. Silver III is the center of MMR because if you split even placement matches you will most likely be a Silver III. Therefore Silver III is closest to 1400.

Yeah, but idk, just think about it.
In build for instance, the highest elo above 1400 was 2800, and the lowest elo below 1400 would definitely not be the same amount above (it would 0 elo if so which for sure no one had)
The same goes for every other ladder, there is much more elo above the "average" than below. Much, much more.

But you have to consider how few people were above 2k. There were tons of players in the 1200-1400 range whereas that amount of players is equal to the amount of players 1400-2400. (These aren't exact but it makes sense if you think about it.) There were very few players above 2400 and below 1200

No this chart is just a complete guess that follows a random pattern, its extremely inaccurate.
Gold 5 is like 1600.

Yeah this is inaccurate. My still level basically capped at 1700 during S12 in only ONE ladder. Now I am pretty much silver 2 overall and there is no way that is considered 1850. The numbers are pretty high.

This is really inaccurate. I'm not anywhere near 2000 ELO in gapple or 1950 in NoDebuff. Season 12 I made it to 1650 in nodebuff at my highest. I've gotten better since then, but not good enough to reach 2k… in anything..

I ranked Gold V last season with the 20 matches. I ranked Silver 2 1 from rankup (basically silver 1). I was ~1800 in skill in 11 so I would say this is somewhat of a starting point though I think that Gold III is the start of 2k and Gold V is the start of 1800 if they play ~10 matches after. Still salt about my rating because I only lost to Gold IV's and a sweat Silv 1.

Do not compare your convertions based on your season 12 elo they are literally very different like a 1600 could grind against 1400 and 1300 to 1800 in na4 but this season they woild be where a 1600 would be

Moreover, elo was never lost. If someone gained 100, someone lost 100. Median wise, I don't know. Median is probably below 1400. Reason being is that if one person has 2800, then there are 5 2000s, and there are 10 others with the same rating, they all have 1080 ELO. So the median would be 1080 elo. This isn't close to accurate because there's a much larger spread than that, but there are more <1400s than there are with more than that. However, mean wise, it'll ALWAYS be 1400. If there are 20 people, and 10 of them get 2800 and 10 get 0 ELO, there is still the same mean. The only time ELO is lost is when hackers are banned, so it'll most likely range from 1399-1401 depending on how much ELO was lost/gained.
Depending on which type of average, we get different answers, but the argument of "If there's a 2800 then there has to be a 0" is stupid. No one is sweating to get low ELO. There is an exponential curve in how many people have what rating.

When you first join Badlion, you are a 1400, same as for the new rating system in Season 12, you are a 'Qualifying'. I understand that the elo conversions are inaccurate, but you are wrong about this.
