Reports on staff should be dealt with quicker
I won't name any specific names about managers who I feel like take too long to respond.

First off, let me clear some stuff up.
1. Yes I understand they are busy and such.
2. I think sometimes if it is severe it needs to go to the head of the department.

Ok, so often I see reports on staff members that just sit there for 1-2 weeks with many tags. Many of these reports are for false mutes and while they are usually valid, occasionally they are correct. Now the reason people make these reports is to get unmuted ASAP since it is false. However people don't make these reports for the staff member to get punished, they simply make it to get unmuted. I feel like there should be a small enforcement rule of like a report must be dealt within a couple of days. Obviously if they are LOA or something it wouldnt apply but maybe then they could pass it on to another manager.

I doubt something like this would get added but atleast make these reports be dealt with quicker.

Generally what I see is arena managers dealing with them very fast and UHC managers take a while.

That's why there is an appeal system in place. Managers can't remove the mutes unless they appeal and if seniors see the chat logs and see that it is false then you get unmuted. Simple.

it almost always goes to the manager first for evaluation, then they send off the person to make an appeal

By then it's too late. The person reporting the staff member could have avoided all the waiting and just went and appealed and waited for a senior staff member to make a decision. Obviously no one understands that.

90% percent sure only mutes 1 week and above can be appealed.

I agree. I try to deal with all my staff reports ASAP but once in a while a few slip away and I don't see them for a week.

I understand some of our managers are busy (myself included), but that doesn't prevent me from checking the Badlion forums and Discord a few times a day.

this is kind of like a demotion thing so it seems reasonable it takes a while also the player reporting is trying to get the host demoted and not unmuted so why does it matter how long it takes

There's a lot that happens behind the scenes that even senior staff don't see, but even accounting for that reports should be resolved a bit quicker imo.

thanks @ThatOneCombo <3 and yeah. I try to handle them as fast as possible. There are a few that sometimes require admins to do some lookups and slow down the process because they may be busy (which is why sometimes some reports get like 3-5 tags on them), but if it is something that I can handle right then, then I try to do it. Granted, sometimes a few do slip by and I either don't see it or open it and then forget to handle it removing the tag in notifs, but the great majority get dealt with within the first tag or two.
