hitbox bug, actually changes gameplay a lot, I will upload a video where I literally look like I'm using woahdanteh's flare client, I was getting 5 block reach hits and I was looking in the opposite direction

@chay_on9jai was my testee :^)

Those hit boxes are 100% normal. How this works is all because of your gui scale / length of your crosshair. So you hit from the middle of screen but pack makers don't make it the exact extension that you can hit from try using auto GUI which isn't better representation of the normal extension of minecrafts default hitboxes there's also something called hitbox stretching but that's a whole other story and I don't think it was in affect in this clip but ya the only reason that happened is because the size of your cross hair
